Welcome to our latest devlog! Today, we have a Q&A session to give you an inside look into the development of Purrrifiers: Cleaning Chaos. We answer your burning questions and take you inside our city of filth and chaos
Q: What kind of game Purrrifiers: Cleaning Chaos is?
A: It's a sandbox where players meet to take on the role of city cleaners, and cooperate to complete varied tasks sometimes challenging, other times freaky, funny, and unbelievable.
Q: What genre is this game?
A: Casual simulation mainly designed for teamplay with an open world requiring creativity and cooperation
Q: When will the game come out?
A: There is no specific date but our goal is to release the game within the 9-12 months.
Q: What is the game engine?
A: Unity
Q: Is there any demo?
A: We are currently working on a demo version, so stay tuned for more information.
Q: Is there any in-game story?
A: Yes, but we don't want to reveal too much yet.
Q: Is there an open world in the game?
A: Yes, we have a big town which is divided into districts. You can walk freely in a town and choose the district to start your challenge with friends or solo. We will share more about it in upcoming devlogs.
Q: How will multiplayer work in the game?
A: Right now we are focusing on couch coop, but there will be online coop also. We create a server, choose a map, and wait for other players to join or add your friends. Right now we focus more on cooperation than rivalry (but we have that on our list also).
Q: How many maps, tools, weapons, vehicles, and tasks will there be in the game?
A: We can't reveal that yet as we are non-stop creating more of that, but we will share more info about that in upcoming devlogs.
Q: How much will the game cost?
A: We can’t reveal the full price yet but, we will adjust it to give the chance to have fun with Purrrifers for as many players as possible.
Q: How creative can I be in the game?
A: It will depend on the task you'll need to do. Some are quite straightforward others can be done in many different ways.
Q: Are you planning to make playtests?
A: Maybe, but it is too early to say anything more.
Q: Are there going to be customization?
A: Yes, clothes, "weapon" skins, masks etc.
Q: Are you planning the option of "skins" trading?
A: We are thinking about it. If players will want it, we will add it.
Q: Where does the game take place?
A: Fictional filthy town, but we are considering adding real places in Early Access or future updates/dlcs
Q: Will there be NPCs in the game?
A: Yes, they will be scattered on the whole map. Some of them will help to progress our story, others will have special tasks for us.
Q: What are your main inspirations?
A: Many things in the game will be quite original, but still we love games like Powerwash Simulator game, Who's Your Daddy, Goat Simulator and PayDay 1-2.
Q: Are there day and night missions?
A: Right now we are working on day ones, but night missions are on our "to-do" list
Q: How will the characters differ?
A: We are working on that, there will be considerable differences between them (stats, visuals, voices etc.)
Q: What view will the game have?
A: First Person Perspective - FPP.
Q: How many people are working on the game?
A: We are a small indie studio, but we have a passionate and hard-working team. We have less than 5 people working on the title.
Q: Will the game be released on phones or VR?
A: At the moment we are focusing on the PC version.
Q: What are the hardware requirements?
A: You can find system requirements on our Steam:
Q: What will distinguish the game from others?
A: Hilarious humor, memic situations, unique tasks, creative ways of achieving goals, funny references to other games and movies
Q: What's with that 3 R in the name, PuRRRifiers?
Our team loves cats :) Simple as that we added them into our game. Not only their purring in the title but also as a special mechanic in the game.
Q: What feature are you most excited about adding to the game?
A: Challenges and quests that require an open mind, creativity and a "casual" sense of humor.
