Update Infromation

Update Information:

The next update is almost ready and will be live in about two hours. This update includes:

1. A fix for performance issues when using ultra-wide screen resolutions. The fix consists of a change in the volumetric fog, which turned out to be the main reason for low FPS when running the game with ultra-wide screen resolutions. To compensate for the changes, a new option in the graphics settings called “Smooth Volumetric Fog” is now available. This should be on by default, but do check it just in case. Visually, you should not notice any changes in the quality of the volumetric fog, but performance is significantly increased. Smooth Volumetric Fog can be turned off if you are looking for even more performance, but in most cases, this should not make any noticeable difference. The performance increase achieved by this reconfiguration is not limited to users who run the game in ultra-wide screen resolutions but is across resolutions and aspect ratios. In tests, I managed to get as much as a 60 FPS increase in the best cases.

2. The menu now always returns to the default state when being opened, instead of opening up in the menu option that was last opened.

3. The ranged attack distance of green vipers has been decreased.

4. A couple of healing spells had an issue that meant that if they were assigned to a quickslot and cast from this slot after a load, without opening the spellbook first, the heal amount would be 0. This has been corrected.
