With that said, we've been busy behind the scenes, and this update reflects that dedication. We're thrilled to bring you not just one, but 2 of the key milestones for phase 4 of the roadmap in this update! This patch delivers exciting new features, a revamped difficulty system, and some much-requested improvements to make your heroic journey even more enjoyable. Let's dive in!
A Hero's Rest - Patch Notes v0.800.27: A Hero's True Reward Awaits!
New Features:
- Show Your Prowess with Boss Rewards: Conquering fearsome Bosses now grants you more than just bragging rights! Each Boss will award a unique Medal, bestowing your Hero with permanent passive buffs that will solidify their place as a legend in your roster.
- Earn Epic Titles: Flaunt your Heros' accomplishments by displaying the new Title your Heroes earn for defeating each Boss, making your Hero a true force to be reckoned with!
- Craft Your Challenge: Unleash the New Difficulty System! The reins are in your hands! The revamped "New Game" screen allows you to personalize your experience. Select your base difficulty and shape it further with over 15+ Mutators. Want a faster-paced adventure? Amp up the exprience gains! Craving a tactical test? Activate "No Survival chance" for the ultimate challenge! Existing saves remain untouched, with their difficulty settings reflected in the new system.
Changes & Improvements:
- Mutator Transparency: Inspect your currently active Mutators with ease! A dedicated menu lets you review their effects while the game is paused.
- Red Mist Intensifies: The whispers grow louder as you delve deeper into the uncharted territories. The Red Mist's insidious effects intensify with each escalating difficulty, testing the resolve of even the most seasoned explorers. This adds a thrilling layer of challenge for those who crave the ultimate test of courage.
- Silence the Grumbling: Hero protests are now part of the ambient soundscape, creating a more immersive experience. You can also finally silence their frustrations completely with a new option in the Settings Menu.
- Navigation Made Easy: We've streamlined the Hero Manager for smoother switching between class and Hero management modes. Accessing Hero information feels effortless now.
- New Menus, New Possibilities: Dedicated menus have been added to both the Hero List and Hero Sheet, allowing you to effortlessly inspect and equip your Boss-earned Titles.
- Compendium Chronicles: All relevant Compendium pages have been updated to reflect the latest changes and additions.
Bug Fixes:
- Templates have been fixed: A bug affecting Heroes not purchasing class-specific templates due to skill updates has been resolved. Remember to re-save your templates after this patch to apply the fix.
- Trade Routes Back on Track: Trade completion times have been adjusted to their intended value, ensuring a smooth flow of resources.
- King's Call Heeded: A bug preventing the King's Requests event from appearing in corrupted saves has been squashed. Your loyalty will always be recognized!
- Grass Patch Persists: Rest assured, your carefully landscaped patches will remain untouched across save and load cycles.
