Greetings Carants!
It’s happened. You’re wandering across gorgeous, lush forests, and the sunlight catches just the right angle. Wouldn’t it be nice to take a picture of your character here? Or maybe even of the wildlife wandering the area...
Well, we have just the thing for you: photomode. Another first for the studio, you’ll be able to seize the reigns of the game’s camera this coming update on the 17th of November and take enough aesthetic photos to fill your character’s moodboard.
SMILE FOR THE CAMERA!
I came ready and prepared for the photoshoot!
You’re likely asking yourself what functions the photomode has right now. Well, look no further. We’ll go over the options below.
Fancy fading your companions into the background and putting the focus on your character? Found the perfect meme image, but there’s some pesky NPCs in the way? Highlight what you want to see with the blur distance – everything else will simply blend in, forefront or background.
Of course, you can also change how much you blur these elements and focus on specific ones. If you want the buildings or trees to be more visible, lower the far blur distance settings and behold as they pop into view. If they simply don’t fit the mood you’re going for, and you want the focus to be on the characters alone, you can turn up the setting and have them fade into the distance. The same goes for the reverse, of course - use the near blur distance for the opposite effect!
Are you getting my good side?
This isn’t all: Change the blur’s intensity depending on your needs, adjust the exposure if the lighting isn’t to your liking, and hide the HUD. After that, all you need to do is move your camera into the perfect position and snap the picture of your dreams.
You’re not just limited to taking pictures of your characters either. Stroll through cities and take a snapshot of buildings, a particularly cool battle, or even stop and grab one of a lewolan from a safe distance.
How will you use it? What pictures will you take as you journey across vast, unyielding lands? Why, it’s all in your hands.
WE’LL SEE YOU SOON
I will now proceed to spam all my social media accounts with pictures of my OC.
That’s all for this week on the photomode. We’ll see you again soon for a summary post (and more) on the update and for the actual update itself, Carants! Are you ready to delve back into the story and experience new twists and turns? Peren’s shining gates inch closer by the second...
P.S: Don’t forget to tag us on social media when you get your hands on the new photomode, be it for the update or the full release! We’d love to see the pictures you’ve taken.
