Paper Animal Adventure launched almost exactly 2 weeks ago into Early Access on Steam, and I have been blown away by how much you all like the game!!:D
We're currently sitting at 89 reviews (with 88 of them positive😱), which is so close to 100! Reaching 100 reviews would be another milestone, where the Steam algorithm would help show the game to even more people💪
Since the game is in Early Access you're probably wondering which updates are planned leading up to the full V1.0. I've already talked about two of them, namely the Plus Update and the Rewind Update.
You can still vote which one of those two you want to see first! Currently the Plus Update is leading by quite a bit. Instructions about how to vote can be found here:View game page
The Early Access version will receive 4 bigger updates and with the 4th and last one we're also transitioning into the full game! Alright, let's jump into the content that will be added:
Plus Update
More, more, more! Can’t get enough of Paper Animal Adventure? The Plus Update packs in a mountain of new content to discover, collect, and master!
2 new Enemies per area – that’s 16 unique foes to challenge your skills!
3 new Characters to join your adventure!

Rewind Update
Ever wondered what‘s in the west part of the Gear Shrine? You can find out yourself after rescuing Sir Bearington now with the Rewind Update! Use the Rewind Clock to start a Rewind Run, where you’ll keep your current heroes, stats and inventory and dive back into an alternative reality, where you can experience the second half of the story!
An alternate version of each of the 8 areas, featuring tougher enemy variants, alternate aesthetics, new music and more powerful bosses!
Uncover the fate of Kael and Lillith, and discover how you and Sir Bearington are entangled in this story!
Camps & Challenges
Are you more of a cozy gamer or someone who is looking for a real challenge? In this update there's a new content for both!
2 new Characters - meet some new faces with unique abilities!
C-Skins so that every characters gets another alternate look!
Tournament Mode where you can compete with other players on a shared seed and climb the global leaderboard!
Challenges Mode where you can experience the game with 25 unique challenges, each with special gameplay twists and modifiers!

New Fanmails for a bit more variety with side-quests!
