It's the last Friday of the month again, which means it's time for a Paper Animal Adventure content update💪
Thock⏰
The Gear Shrine Depths were still missing a third enemy type and here it comes: The Thock enemy!
It's a big creature with a big clock face, armed with clock hands, a giant pendulum and a winding key on the top of its head.
It casts a few defensive buff on itself and has a bunch of HP - so it's quite tanky.
The Thock enemy can also summon two clock hands that surround it at different speeds. If you plan to tackle this enemy at melee range it's important to time your attacks, so that you don't get hit by the clock hands!
It also uses a giant pendulum to attack at a distance. This pendulum attack can happen relatively fast and covers a big range, so it's best to always keep some room next to you to evade.
It summons a big pendulum straight upwards and then it falls down with a big bell sound. Better take care!
Throne Room🪑
I already showed the first phase of the final boss, but the throne itself was still a work-in-progress. I also managed to finish its design this month and I think it looks quite cool haha
The different clock hands at the back of it rotate in different speeds and patterns. Also the colors of the gem stones in the big ring resemble each area of the game!:D
More C-Skins✨
I also finally got around to add the last few C-Skins. Here is a picture of some of the new ones:D
From the left to the right here's Peep, Shelp, Kwak, Axel, Gobble and Nana:D
Gear Shrine Depths Entrance🚪
When you enter the Gear Shrine now with all 7 other areas cleared, you can enter the North area. From here you can enter the final dungeon: The Gear Shrine Depths.
I always liked a big stairway guiding you deeper and deeper as an entrance for the final part of a game!
Gear Shrine Depths World Map🗺️
As soon as you used the Gear Shrine Depths entrance you'll enter the World Map again, but this time only with the last area present.
Here you can also plan your path how you want💪
I also had to create all the small dioramas for the last area here again. These are all small things that do add up time-wise😅
Oh I also don't know if I mentioned it, but you can access the Gear Shrine Depths from each Gear Shrine, which means you could explore it directly after the Flat Flat Plains, or you can strengthen your team by going to Toy Box Tangle or Vector Space and then enter the last area with a stronger team - the choice is up to you!
Outro🎥
When you defeated the final boss a small outro sequence will play, which is very similar to the intro sequence style-wise.
Like the intro, the outro also features a small story that is supported by an voice actor. If you don't want to watch the outro every time, you can also skip it to get directly to the run results💪
