Hello, this is Kiwiwalks!
Today is finally THE day!
It has been nearly a month since our last note, we have made improvements, added a bit more content, and fine-tuned various aspects of the game.
As we have already covered most gameplay systems in previous dev notes, we won't dive into the specifics again.
Apart from the growth/progression system that most WitchSpring fans are already familiar with, WitchSpring R features a more strategic (and sometimes tactical) battle system. We hope this will reduce the monotony of repetitive battles, allowing players to enjoy winning battles through various mixes and matches. And for those who may find it challenging, there is a "simple" difficulty level available in the settings menu, which should make everything much easier.

In addition, we would like to update the inaccurate description in the last notes. After observing the game process of some experienced players, we found that the completion time of the main story should be around 22-25 hours; and there are 20 types of pets/monsters that can be capture, while you will also meet companions who can go on adventures together, and assist in battles.
Regarding the story, we have introduced some new charming characters in WitchSpring R. Their presence has greatly improved the richness of the game story and the overall worldview. Furthermore, these characters have unique side-quests that you can discover, and completing them will unlock hidden story scenes at the end of the game.

In response to player feedback, we have made several adjustments to the game's audio, and display, and tested the device performance, and compatibility. Players have mentioned issues with the SFX and music volume ratio, which can now be adjusted separately. The game is also compatible with older operating systems such as WIN 7 and 8, but we still strongly recommend playing the game with the minimum requirements stated on the store page. If you experience frame drops or freezes, you can try adjusting the game's image quality, which could help to improve performance. If you encounter any compatibility issues, please email our customer service team. They will respond asap to help resolve the issue.
WitchSpring R is Kiwiwalks' first PC and console game. We chose Pieberry as the protagonist because her story serves as the basis for the entire WitchSpring story. Pieberry is a kind and adorable little witch who never gives up, we hope you will enjoy embarking on this adventure with her.
Now the game can run perfectly on Steamdeck, we hope it could be a temporary "substitute" for players who like to play games on handheld devices.
After the game's release, we plan to take a short break and then prepare the game's soundtrack and additional costumes as paid DLC. Please look forward to the DLC release!
Finally, if you enjoy playing the game, we would sincerely appreciate it if you could leave a positive review in the store. This will greatly assist us. We also welcome you to join our Discord server or follow our official Twitter account to stay up-to-date with community events. If you encounter any issues while playing the game, please feel free to contact our customer service email ([email protected]) at any time.
Thank you and have fun!
