More VHS settings, Level 8 improvements, more. This is a BETA update. Please use the Beta branch in BrVR's steam library page -> gear icon -> properties -> betas.
Added new features to the microwave
The microwave now has a 20 second timer, a sound for when it's on, and a beep sound for when it automatically turns off.
Added new VHS filter settings
There are two new VHS filter settings: Low and Medium. Low is now on by default, but you can select "clear" to get rid of it. Do note, there is a known bug with the low setting. It isn't supposed to have any flicker, but it does for now. This will be changed.
Added more areas to level 8 and made all rocks grabbable
New areas have been added to all three parts of level 8, making the level have about 60% more playable area. In the top area, there's a new river location and a location with many torches lining the walls. Additionally, the room with the large spider has been expanded. Climbing the walls there will lead to an area with additional loot and firesalt mining points. As for the second map, there are a few new pathways connecting areas, and the third map has new catacombs near the start. In the next update, there will be bursters in the catacombs with you.
Added Christmas in The Backrooms and Arcade 2024 records
Two new records have been added, a Christmas record, and a more high energy one for the arena mode. Both can be bought at LunaNightZ records.
Resized the 1887 shotgun
The 1887 shotgun has been resized and also contains some new features. You can flip the lever with one hand now, and there's a new hammer animation.
Now for some rapid-fire changes:
Added trims to the catrooms
Added whiskey to the casino
Added many new door pictures
Added a variant of the green loot crates with random loot inside
Another known bug: This week's hidden safe contains the same cassette as last week's. Sorry. I meant for it to be the Christmas cassette.
A note: The next update will be massive, I can't wait to share what items I've been working on behind the scenes. It will come on Christmas day, as soon as I can get it up there. It will be a main branch update.
