WHY ISN'T THE GAME RELEASED YET?
Hello everyone! As many of you know, our release date was set for October 28th, 2022 (last Friday), but unfortunately we had not configured everything on our game's Steam page correctly, and our build review was rejected, meaning that we were unable to launch the game at that time despite our wishes. We are very sorry about this inconvenience, but please rest assured that we want the game out there just as much as you do.
WHEN WILL THE GAME BE RELEASED?
As soon as Steam approves us for launch, we will be releasing the game.
We have since fixed the issues described above, and are currently pending approval once again. As we are unable to predict exactly when our new review will be approved/rejected, we cannot announce a new release date yet. You'll notice that the Steam page for the game now lists the release date as simply Coming Soon in order to reflect these new circumstances. But please do know that as soon as we get the game approved we will be releasing the game, so please stay tuned, and if you already have the game wishlisted on Steam, you should receive an email once it is available. This process should take a couple of weeks at maximum, and more likely around 3-5 days or so.
Thank you so much for your continued support and patience. As student game developers launching a game on Steam for the first time, we are learning a lot from this experience. We can't wait for you all to enter The Painted World sometime real soon.
