Hello, Salty Hounds players!
As announced in our previous update, Salty Hounds is scheduled to transition to full release in 2026.
With this update, we focused on bringing the game up to the level of polish expected for full release. We completely overhauled the UI, greatly improved ease of control, and added the new romance content you have been waiting for across the city.
🛠️ Update Highlights
1. Character Profiles & Status Display
Character Profile Page: We added a profile page that automatically fills in each character's personal preferences and other information as you progress through the game.
Conversation Status Display: The Affection and Fatigue of the character you are currently speaking with now appear on the left side of the message window, making both values easy to check during conversations.
2. New Locations & Romance Content
We improved the minimap UI and unlocked a variety of new locations throughout the city. Relax at the Hotel or Brunch Cafe, train and take lessons at the Shooting Range, or go shopping together at the Department Store.
Spend your weekends visiting different places together, slowly build a romantic mood, and discover your partner's sweeter side.
3. Inventory System & Gift-Giving Revamp
We completely overhauled the Inventory UI and made gift-giving much more convenient. You can now choose and give items that suit each character's preferences more quickly and intuitively.
Snacks and other usable items can now be consumed directly from the Inventory to reduce the player's Fatigue.
4. Localization Improvements & Complete English Retranslation
Full English Localization Review and Retranslation: To provide a more immersive experience for players worldwide, we polished and retranslated the entire English script.
We also fixed line-break issues in the existing localizations and improved overall readability.
5. Improved Controls & Engine Optimization
Official Gamepad and Steam Deck Support: Salty Hounds can now be played smoothly on Steam Deck and with controllers. We redesigned the overall UI/UX so every function can also be operated using only a keyboard, without a mouse, and added key binding options.
Loading Speed and Core Engine Optimization: We extensively improved map transitions and scene-loading systems for smoother navigation.
Expanded Resolution Options: The game now supports a wider range of resolutions for different monitor aspect ratios and setups.
6. Complete UI/UX Overhaul & New Quality-of-Life Features

✨ Overhauled UI/UX✨
Complete Interface Renewal: Every in-game interface—including the minimap, Inventory, phone calls and messages, and conversation log—has been rebuilt with a modern, intuitive design.
The TO DO quest list and icons, as well as the phone call and text message interfaces, have all been reworked for better readability and convenience.
Viewed Choice Indicator: Choices you have already selected are now marked with a ✓.
We added a variety of quality-of-life features and improvements, including the ability to rename save and load files directly.
7. Minigame Revamp, Sound & In-Game Balance
Fishing Minigame Revamp: We improved the fishing minigame's rules and controls.
Economy Rebalancing: Fish sale prices, lunchbox cooking costs, movie ticket prices, and activity costs across the map have been adjusted to create a more balanced flow of money management.
Sound Effects (SFX) Remastering: We replaced various sound effects and rebalanced the game's overall audio volume.
Map Graphics Polish and Revamp: We improved the visual detail of several backgrounds, including the office.

We are currently hard at work on the final presentation and QA for Seha's ending.
With the game's systems now entering a stable phase after a series of major overhauls, we are carefully testing and polishing every last detail so we can soon bring you the grand finale for each character.
