Hello Saeges!
Long time no see. It has been a few months, very very busy months but we're back with lots of updates and improvements that have been done to the game, as well as some news about our upcoming demo!
Let's begin.
Lore in the wild
We've been rapidly expanding the lore of the game recently, throwing lots of fun ideas for the world, its characters and its cultures. Some will be part of the quests, some will be little tidbits to read in old tomes inside the library or heard among whispers while sitting around a campfire. Some will show up as little artifacts objects to find around the world, like this very old shrine.
Who says cozy and cute games can't have a deep and rich world? So this one is for all our fellow lore-nerds and bookworms! Also, a shoutout to the Novelist app. I had been using it already for a while for my spare-time writing, but it has been great at helping us organize the worldbuilding.

But what good is an ancient shrine, if it doesn't look...well, ancient?
To do that, we need to add some dynamic moss. And thus, we added a moss effect to our custom shaders.

Customizing items
Customizing items is a very important part of the game. You are supposed to decorate your home and farm with hundreds of different things, and you should be able to pick the color combinations that best fit your spaces. So, we have been working on the perfect UI to make customizing anything a breeze!

One thing we have decided on is to not force players to build every single configuration of items that there is in the game. If you build a pretty fancy chair, then you want to switch to a goblin core one...should you really have to gather wood again, craft again, and then throw the old chair away?
Of course not! You have magic, dang it! And so, we will let you transmogrify the heck out of that chair. *Change its color and its appearance however you want!
With this we hope you will have a lot of fun and a much easier time going over your house and farm decor, even switching things up on a season-by-season basis without having to chop the whole forest down every time your style feels out of fashion.
*As long as you have found the corresponding chair-shape blueprint. We wouldn't want things to be way too easy either, and most of us LOVE to collect things anyway.
Meet Anisa!
There are more than just humans and wizards in our game. Farmwand is a world of many magical cultures and peoples, and we've been adding some to the game!

Anisa is a member of the Sandclaw clan, in the Fire lands, who decided to quit the desert and move into the greener forests near Lunahweld town to join her one true love: milk. As a Shakkit or Cat-person, she has very special magical abilities of her own and her skill with spells is matched only by her wits as a trader.
Give those chickens some love!
We also worked on a lot of new animations to allow you to interact with your farm animals and pets. It took a while to decide exactly how we wanted it to look. That is, how cute it should be:

Look at those smiles!

Coming next...
Part 2 will be coming up next week, and we will talk about new furniture packs we have been making, the way Quests will work and the extremely useful, so very nice Journal in which anything worth knowing shall be written down.
We will also share some updates about our upcoming demo, which is closer than ever and shaping up to be a great bit of fun!
Thanks for reading,
J & D
