Yet Another Round of Virtual Hugs! (Number 13?! :O)

Greetings and salutations! How are you? Nothing in particular has been going on in my life, of significance! Thanks for asking! ːsteamsunnyː Ummm... Last night I had pizza with a lady who I befriended on a mission trip thing I took during the summer (I am being vague on purpose, even though I like this organization). And, uh...I'm thinking of moving to Japan? Maybe? I know Japanese but the application form is really hard to figure out and only works on my phone and GUH, so we'll see if it ends up happening! ːsteamhappyː

I've got a couple more updates on my comic, but enough about that!

In terms of story time, I've attended a couple of markets. I've been trying to sell my book (which I made without AI, thank you very much), because if I don't try and put myself out there, then there's no chance of getting it noticed. The most recent month was about a week ago. It went fairly well, all things considered. Better than my first market.

My first market...well... First of all, it wasn't just one market, I signed up for two of them. It was reasonably priced, so I figured why not? Unfortunately, the first time, I waited all day and only sold one book. ːsteamsadː That, uh, didn't exactly cover the cost for me being there. But the fee was non-refundable, so I had no choice but go to the second market too. The first time, I had been sitting nervously, waiting for potential business. The second time, though? Yeah, I just kicked back and accepted that I probably wouldn't make anything back. I played lots of Pokemon. To my surprise, I actually managed to sell a book that time too, despite myself. So, two markets and two book sales.

I don't want to end this story on a sour note, so it may interest you to know that I sold four books at this last market. It wasn't quite enough to cover costs this time either, but that's still a 400% increase. So that's something. But that's okay. we're nothing but a couple of struggling entrepreneurs, so we can struggle together! ːsteamhappyː Hugsplosion of Comradery!!! ːsteamsunnyː ːsteamsunnyː ːsteamsunnyː

Now What You're Actually Here For!

Yeah, who cares about all that melodrama when we've got cool Youtube Links to look at? ːsteamsunnyː

This is a fun Youtube Channel I happened to stumble across on my many Youtube Travels, and this one is mixing Ye Olde Japanese Folk Music with Heavy Metal. I think the results speak for themselves. ːsteamsunnyː I'm currently making my way through the Majora's Mask remix set, but I'm sure if you look hard enough, you'll be able to find your favourite game series remixed here too. ːsteamdanceː

Due to circumstances beyond explanation, I've been revisiting some old Vocaloid songs from way back when! (Okay, fine, I told Pizza Lady about them, that's why.) The song that got me into Vocaloid, way back when, was the song Cendrillion, which absolutely blew my mind way back in the day. But I've also got some other favourites, like Tsugai Kogarashi, Boss Death, Love is War, and Delusion Tax. If you're into Vocaloid, please tell me what songs you are into! ːsteamhearteyesː It'd be cool to find new favourites!

And, to lighten the mood, here is an oldy, but a goodie. ːsteamdanceː

This is kind of a different thing than what any of you came for, but I've been finding this channel really cozy and fun, so I thought I'd share. HopeScope seems to be more of a fashion Youtuber, again, I can't seem to escape it, but my favourite videos of hers are when she tries out online scams to see how many of them are real. The results are often disastrous. With the AI scare going around, I figured this one would be a good one to share. ːsteamdanceː

I'm not the biggest fan of her sense of style (when she says "it's gorgeous," I often go "really? That?"), and there are times where her purchases come off a bit too much like "let them have cake" (I am extra, extra broke and perhaps jealous)... But at the end of the day, she's got a fun, bubbly personality, and she is buying these things to help other people not get scammed, so this channel is an overall win. ;D (She often gives her extra dresses to charity, too, so that's another thing I thought was worth mentioning.)

Back into the world of gaming, we've got this machiavellian mastermind...CallMeKevin. Some of you might already know about him as he's got a bigger following than I ever have, but he's a new discovery for me. I saw the above Sims video and couldn't resist!!! I also fell in love with his other Sims videos, like that time he controlled Mole People Living in the Walls. He just does really hilarious challenges and videos and I binged his Episode Series like there was no tomorrow, so if you think it's your style of humour, then feel free to laugh alongside me.

So this time I'm recommending this Bootleg Chinese Anime that falls under the category of "So Bad It's Good". It's the most stereotypical plot of a Bad Boy Chinese CEO (of course he's CEO, they're always CEOs) falling in love with Bland, Generic Girl #47. Don't get me wrong, there are times where it is sweet, and the main female lead is decently likable despite being ultra generic. But...um...

I rest my case. Also, the Youtube thumbnail is a gigantic lie. They don't get married at any point in the compilation. This show is one of those things you have to see to believe. Watch it, I dare you! ːsteamlaughcryː

That's all for now! Toodles! ːsteamdanceː
