In order to promote the game of chess a bit more to FGC and to help gain the attention of chess players, every day for the next THREE WEEKS we'll be updating the demo with a "setup of the day" which puts you in a setup once played by chess pros/streamers (Past and present).
Today's setup is Fischer vs Spassky.

The 1972 World Chess Championship is perhaps the most famous chess match ever played.
Known as "The Match of the Century", Bobby Fischer (US) challenged defending World Champion Boris Spassky (USSR) for his title.
Fischer had already played against Spassky before this encounter, drawing twice and losing three times. On top of having the World Championship pressure on their shoulders while being watched by the entire world, this match was played during the Cold War era meaning they both faced enormous political pressure to win. The US National Security Advisor had even called Fischer to remind him how important this match was.
Although considered one of the greatest matches ever played, it also saw some rather erratic behavior coming from Fischer such as demanding more compensation before playing, the removal of the cameras due to their noise, the removal of the 7 first rows of spectators - behavior that commentators (particularly from the USSR) suggested was "part of Fischer's plan to psych out Spassky".
Today's setup in our demo is taken from Game 6 of Fischer vs Spassky where Fischer took the lead by playing the Queen's Gambit for the first time in his life. Relive the moment in Checkmate Showdown:
