Our team has had a busy month! We've been testing internally in preparation for the release of online multiplayer, but it needs a bit more time before we can release it so that we can make sure it works flawlessly for you all!
In the meantime, we've added a new level and fixed a large number of bugs.
Major updates:
- New stage added: Lost Temple
Small enhancements - character editor:
- Added a 3D arrow or visualizing a bone's rotation direction while it's selected
- Added setting to hide the floor (in Editor Preferences on the top left)
- Added a plus button to add a new action
- Animation rig bones stay selected when switching keyframes
Small enhancements - menus:
- Added setting for V-Sync
Bugs - battle mode:
- Projectiles can get stuck on an edge
- Jittering player sometimes shows wrong location after getting hit (happened when the player was rotated before the hit)
- Ultra with grab property doesn't hit foes on the ground (can lead to wasting the ultra, and feels unfair)
- Ultra meter bugs out when set using an action
- Transition screen gets locked in place if pausing on The Editor
- Gracefully exit match and throw a warning if we fail to load a character
- In The Editor, players don't fall off the platforms when the scene transitions
Bugs - menus and controllers:
- Unable to save controller deadzone settings (they got reset upon leaving the menu)
- Windowed mode doesn't work for some PCs unless you press F11
- Performance: stuttering when adding new players on the character select screen
- Choosing random on the character select can assign the same color palette index as another player
- Pressing start on the loading screen skips loading Steam Workshop characters
Bugs - character editor:
- Workshop characters sometimes aren't visible in the Upload to Steam (required to update an existing character)
- Box selection accuracy is off in the Import Sprites pane
- One-click sprite import fails if sprite is touching the side of the texture
- Crash seen occasionally (unkown cause): GetPreviousOrCurrentKeyframeIndex --> Array index out of bounds
- Rare crash (unknown cause): ApplySpriteLayerSettingsToCurrentTimeline
- Crash seen when binding an animation rig bone and then clicking another menu
- Players can cause a crash by adding an infinite Go To And Play loop
- Unable to move for a short time when first entering Test Play
- Pressing undo after deleting an animation rig timeline and adding a new one -> creates a duplicate animation rig timeline
- Undo didn't undo all changes to an animation rig after accepting- animation bone data sometimes remained broken after trying to undo
- Adding multiple Views to an animation rig with different bind rotations can result in the character's animation bone transforms to get be offset strangely
More to come soon!
