Greetings, Brinehunters!
Thank you for being with us during the launch of Abyssus. We’re very happy to see so many of you enjoying the game!
We want to reiterate our post-launch plans:
We have a lot of post-launch content planned, and all of it will be free.
We will never sell new content such as new weapons, abilities, game modes, etc. The only DLCs that will be paid for are supporter packs that add cosmetics and emotes. People can buy these if they want to support us as a studio, but it will never be required to get the latest, coolest stuff we’ve added to the game.
Here’s a brief preview of the updates we’re working on:
Infinite Mode: lets you continue playing indefinitely until you feel ready to face the final boss, with enemies infinitely scaling. We are excited to see who can make the most broken build and reach the furthest depths!
Random Order Mode: keeps things fresh by switching up the areas so they’re not always in the same order. If you play with Random Order Mode on, you might start in Area 3, then go to Area 1, and so on. It will take some balance work to get it right, but we think this will be appreciated by those who play the game the most.
Alternative boss patterns: new movesets for the bosses, so you never really know which ones you’ll get in your next expedition.
Of course, we’ll also be adding new weapons, weapon mods, abilities, and some more secret stuff we want to keep as a surprise.
After the 1.1 and 1.2 patches, we will take a step back, listen to community feedback, and figure out what our next updates should be.
We don’t want to reveal everything right now, but we want our players to know that we intend to keep updating Abyssus according to your feedback and to what we think will make the best game in the long run.
We love this game, and we love working on it. So, if you have any suggestions, feedback, or ideas, please leave a comment below!
We also just released a new hotfix. Read more here : View game page
