We’re excited to share a brand-new look at Island of Winds, our upcoming narrative adventure inspired by the folklore, nature, and mythology of 17th-century Iceland. As part of the inaugural Insider Gaming Showcase, we’ve revealed brand-new gameplay footage, offering players a fresh glimpse into Brynhildur’s journey and the mystical world she inhabits.
In Island of Winds, you step into the role of Brynhildur, a young Balance Keeper whose peaceful life is shattered after an attack on her homestead and the disappearance of her mentor. Guided by ancient magic and empathy rather than violence, she embarks on a journey across a fractured island to uncover forgotten truths, help troubled mythical beings, and restore balance to a world slowly falling apart.
Unlike many adventure games, Island of Winds places empathy, understanding, and exploration at the center of the experience. As Brynhildur, you’ll use magical abilities tied to balance and nature to overcome challenges, solve environmental puzzles, and discover the stories hidden throughout the island.
