Two New Roles and an Improved Friends List!
The Swordsman Duck and Magpie are joining Goose Goose Duck, each bringing a unique twist to every match. We've also refreshed and optimized the Friends List, making it easier than ever to see what your friends are playing, join their games, and stay connected.
New Roles

| Swordsman Duck | You can dash through multiple in a line to kill them. The bodies won’t drop until they are touched. |
| Magpie | Guess the specific identities of players during a meeting. Correctly guess enough of them within a single meeting to win immediately. |
A Closer Look:
Magpie:
The Magpie's ability can only be used during meetings.
During the voting phase, you may guess the role of any player, including those who have already died. Continue guessing until you either reach the required number of correct guesses to win or make an incorrect guess. An incorrect guess immediately ends your guessing for that meeting.
The number of correct guesses required to win is displayed on the Magpie's UI. ✓ indicates a correct guess, while ✕ indicates an incorrect guess.
How will other players know a Magpie is in play?
Whenever the Magpie makes a correct guess, all players will hear a distinct sound effect. Even if nobody knows who the Magpie is, they'll know a Magpie has made a correct guess.
Swordsman:
The Swordsman replaces their normal kill with a powerful dash attack.
Hold the Dash ability to charge your attack. The longer you charge, the farther you'll travel. Once you release, your direction is locked, so aim carefully before committing.
Any player caught in your path is instantly eliminated.
Unlike a normal kill, eliminated players remain standing until another player interacts with them, making it much easier to disguise a multi-kill and catch unsuspecting groups off guard.
Stay alert and avoid grouping up too closely, you never know when a Swordsman might be waiting for the perfect opportunity.
How does the Swordsman play against roles such as the Canadian or Celebrity?
Rather than automatically reporting or announcing the elimination, the body remains standing. The first player to interact with and knock over the body will trigger the report or alert, just as if they had discovered the body themselves.
Improved Friends List
The Friends List has received a visual refresh and performance improvements, making it faster and more responsive than ever.
You can now:
See which map your friends are playing before joining them.
View the game mode they're currently in.
Quickly change your online status between Online, Away, and Do Not Disturb.
Enjoy an improved interface that makes finding and joining friends easier than ever.
Controller Support
We're continuing to improve controller support across Goose Goose Duck as we work toward Steam Deck Verification. This update includes another round of controller improvements, with additional updates planned for future releases.

Bug Fixes and Optimizations
[Fixed] Lucid Dreamer no longer receives the "Do your tasks" warning while Dream Walking.
[Fixed] After being swallowed by the Pelican and escaping during Cuckoo Hunt, clothing no longer appears on the Cuckoo while in its transformed state.
