Spirits!
It’s nearly time to save Midra - The Prince and his Kingdom need YOU!
But before you dive in and button bash your way through, we thought we’d lend a hand and share some top tips for tackling Rogue Spirit. Let us begin…
Lesson 1 - Possession
Ahh, Possession - remember this? This is a great way to control a tough situation and could save your life. While you may have your favorite characters and are used to their unique skills, possessing another downed enemy can keep your run going longer, and give you some nice little enhancements along the way. Don’t forget to change it up.
Lesson 2 - Be Prepared to Die
Yep, this is a Rogue-lite game, which means it’s challenging. From the procedurally generated levels to the epic challenges and fantastic boss battles. Rogue Spirit is beyond rewarding - but reward means sacrifice.
After every run, you will start to learn and understand each enemy type. Use this to your advantage. Soon, you will end your runs with collections of coins and Blueprints to enhance your abilities. Choose wisely.
Lesson 3 - Stealth
This is what gives Rogue Spirit, it’s… uhh, well Spirit!
In Rogue Spirit,, you play as the Ghost of the Prince of the Kingdom of Midra. As the Ghost, you can play in a completely different way to any other character - using stealth! Enemies won’t see you until the last second, so use this to your advantage. If you feel like there are a group of enemies that might just be too much agro for now, try and sneak past them.
Lesson 4 - Wax On, Wax Off.
Yes, I know, a terrible Karate Kid reference, but Mr Miyagi had a point - practice!
In the middle of the monastery, you will find a small dojo. Keep your skills sharp by checking up on the basics every now and again. It will save your life.
Lesson 5 - Exploration
While Rogue Spirit is indeed a Rogue-lite, don’t rush through your adventure. Exploring the Kingdom is half of the fun - and very rewarding. You may find secrets, unlock upgrades and find blueprints to aid you on your journey.
Leave no stone un-turned young spirit.
That’s it for now young Spirits. We can’t wait to see you soon
