Hello,
As promised before the demo version of Patron was released, we are going to update the demo as well. Lots of players have been playing the demo, and offered a lot of feedback. Thus, we've decided it is time to make a comprehensive update to the demo and do what we can that everyone playing it has an even better experience.

The demo is still limited, and still doesn't represent the completed game, but the intention is to iron out some issues and include some additions for an even better "first look".
Anyways, here are the most important elements of this update:
- Bridges can be built only over rivers and must start/end at dry land
- Placed bridges will not crash the save files anymore
- Stone road now has a price in stone
- Annual panel added - log with better overview of what is happening in game
- Added new building - Watchtower that increases security in its radius, available from the start
- When Forester plants a tree, it grows twice as fast as ordinary forest tree
- Improved behavior of wild animals - they don't move through houses or across rivers
- Trade panel data is now refreshed in real time
- Increasing or decreasing amount of resources in trade panel (on "+" or "-") now increases in speed if you keep it pressed longer
- Clicking the temperature info in Status panel now switches between Celsius and Fahrenheit scales
- Improvements of citizens' pathfinding
- Text font has been replaced for technical reasons
- Visual changes to unoccupied houses or inactive production buildings - no smoke from chimneys, no visual traces of activity until reactivated
- Combo bonuses in buildings are now working as intended
- Fixed a number of tooltips
- Residents hint, on status panel now also displays the number of houses, both available and populated ones
- Additional optimizations when loading various structures and objects in the game world in general
- Better balance between Easy/Normal/Hard difficulties
- Additional balancing tweaks
- Numerous fixes of text glitches and small bugs
Hope you'll like the improvements, and it will keep you busy while we continue working on the full game build!
Enjoy,
Overseer Games
