Hero & Items

Hero Balance Changes

[Countess]

1. Spin Slash (RMB-Skill)
- Increased Health Recovery upon successful skill landing on T-ons/monsters
Before: 1.2%/1.4%/1.6%/1.8%/2%
Now: 2%/2.1%/2.2%/2.3%/2.4%

- Increased Health Recovery upon successfully landing the skill on enemy hero
Before: 2%/3%/4%/5%/6%
Now: 3%/4%/5%/6%/7%

Dev Comments
Due to Countess's melee attack traits, she was in a relatively disadvantaged position in the lane early on. This slower growth made it difficult to deal damage in the mid-to-late game.

Therefore, we want to adjust the Health Recovery amount of the Spin Slash (RMB-Skill) to improve lane sustainability, allowing for faster growth and more effective lane fights in the early game.

[MARTY:]

1. Dimensional Energy Barrage (RMB-Skill)
- Base Damage increased
Before: 45/65/85/105/125
Now: 60/80/100/120/140

- Magical Power coefficient increased
Before: 70%
Now: 75%

Dev Comments
MARTY:'s Dimensional Energy Barrage (RMB-Skill) is a crucial DPS skill in early lane fights, but its low damage output and long cast time put it at a significant disadvantage against other Caster heroes.

As a result, we want to adjust the damage of MARTY:'s Dimensional Energy Barrage (RMB-Skill) to provide more balance in early lane fights against other heroes.

[Serath]

1. Angel's Wingbeats (RMB-Skill)
- Physical Power coefficient increased
Before: 84%
Now: 90%

- Cooldown adjusted
Before: 9 sec/8.5 sec/8 sec/7.5 sec/7 sec
Now: 8 sec/7.5 sec/7 sec/6.5 sec/6 sec

2. Summoned Angel of Balance (R-Skill)
- Enemy damage taken increased
Before: 20%/25%/30%
Now: 25%/30%/35%

- Burn damage increased
Before: 30/40/50
Now: 35/50/65

Dev Comments
Serath only has one main skill, Angel's Wingbeats (RMB-Skill), for dealing damage in early lane exchanges and must reach level 6 and acquire Summoned Angel of Balance (R-Skill) to deal damage based on Basic Attacks. This makes her significantly weaker in early fights against enemy heroes until level 6.

We want to adjust her damage output and Cooldown to strengthen her early lane fight and increase her effectiveness in mid-to-late game 1v1 situations.

[Crunch]

1. Crunch Charge! (RMB-Skill)
- Cooldown adjusted
Before: 12.5 sec
Now: 13 sec/12.5 sec/12 sec/11.5 sec/11 sec

2. Crunch Swing (Q-Skill)
- Base Damage increased
Before: 60/90/120/150/180
Now: 60/100/140/180/220

- Mana cost reduced
Before: 45
Now: 40

3. Crunch Blow (E-Skill)
- Base Damage increased
Before: 45/70/95/120/145
Now: 45/80/115/150/185

- Cooldown adjusted
Before: 11 sec
Now: 10 sec

4. Crunch Encore! (R-Skill)
- Cooldown adjusted
Before: 20 sec/18 sec/16 sec
Now: 20 sec/17 sec/14 sec

Dev Comments
Crunch's average damage contribution in fights has decreased significantly. Previously, Crunch's problem was that his early-to-mid-game jungling speed was too fast, but now he's underperforming in fights and jungling.

We want to maintain Crunch's early damage output while increasing his mid-to-late damage output to ensure parity with other jungle heroes, so that we do not repeat the problem of excessive fast jungling speed.

[Grux]

1. Rage (RMB-Skill)
- Physical Power coefficient increased
Before: 68%
Now: 70%

2. Primal Grip (Q-Skill)
- Base Damage increased
Before: 50/75/100/125/150
Now: 75/105/135/165/195

- Cooldown adjusted
Before: 10.5 sec
Now: 11 sec

- Mana cost reduced
Before: 85
Now: 80

3. Unrivaled Momentum (E-Skill)
- Cooldown adjusted
Before: 13.5 sec/13 sec/12.5 sec/12 sec/11.5 sec
Now: 13 sec/12.5 sec/12 sec/11.5 sec/11 sec

4. Fury of the Great Chieftain (R-Skill)
- Physical Power boost upon using the skill increased
Before: 20%/30%/40%
Now: 40%/45%/50%

- Stun duration increased
Before: 0.8 sec
Now: 0.6 sec/1 sec/1.4 sec

Dev Comments
Grux has also seen a significant drop in his average damage contribution in fights. Previously, Grux's problem was high skill damage, which allowed him to kill enemies instantly with skill combos. However, he currently falls short compared to other Warrior heroes.

Specifically, the Fury of the Great Chieftain (R-Skill) increases Physical Power to %, making it less effective at level 6 than other heroes' Ultimates. To address this issue, we want to slightly increase Grux's Basic Skill Damage and increase the effectiveness of his Ultimate in the early and mid-game.

[Boris]

1. Stimulus (RMB-Skill)
- Slow effect during Awakening increased
Before: 30%
Now: 50%

- Slow effect duration during Awakening increased
Before: 1 sec
Now: 2 sec

- Cooldown adjusted
Before: 14 sec/13.5 sec/13 sec/12.5 sec/12 sec
Now: 13 sec/12.5 sec/12 sec/11.5 sec/11 sec

2. Thump! (Q-Skill)
- Health coefficient damage reduced
Before: 9%
Now: 6%

- Cooldown adjusted
Before: 10 sec/9.5 sec/9 sec/8.5 sec/8 sec
Now: 11 sec/10.5 sec/10 sec/9.5 sec/9 sec

3. Savage Claw (E-Skill)
- Health coefficient damage reduced
Before: 4%
Now: 3.5%

4. Awakening (R-Skill)
- Cooldown adjusted
Before: 85 sec/80 sec/75 sec
Now: 100 sec/90 sec/80 sec

Dev Comments
Until the 1/11 update, Boris's average damage output was not significantly different from the average damage of other Tanks (15,000). As a result, Boris was excluded from the recent update's list of Tank nerfs, in keeping with the role of an offensive Tank.

However, after the 1/11 update, while the average damage of other Tanks was greatly reduced (15,000 → 13,300), Boris's damage increased to 16,000. This proved to be more efficient than intended.

To temper this ferocious bear, we want to slightly nerf his offensive aspects and buff his utility traits.

[Shinbi]

1. Light's Memory (RMB-Skill)
- The available time to use the second charge after using the skill has been changed.
Before: 0.03 sec
Now: 0.7 sec

- The cooldown for the second charge has been changed.
Before: 3 sec
Now: 4 sec

Dev Comments
As an Assassin and Caster, Shinbi excels at delivering instant high damage and sustainability through Health Recovery. In Paragon: The Overprime, we felt that Assassins should be able to take down enemies quickly, but at the cost of difficult survivability.

However, Shinbi's current state with Health Recovery and Light's Memory (RMB-Skill) resulted in a low-risk, high-return situation. We want to adjust Shinbi's survivability to clarify her role as an Assassin.

The cooldown on her second charge will be adjusted to prevent it from being quickly reused. This will make escaping more difficult than before, while still maintaining her ability to eliminate enemies.

Item Balance Changes

[High Priest's Consolation]

1. Stats
Before: Magical Power 35, Health 300, Cooldown Decrease 10%, Movement Speed 5%
Now: Magical Power 40, Health 300, Cooldown Decrease 10%, Movement Speed 5%

2. Effects
Before: Upon being hit with a crowd control effect, removes all debuffs on the hero and nearby allies and recovers Health equal to 250 + 30% of Magical Power. (Cooldown: 50 sec)
Now: Upon being hit with a crowd control effect, removes all debuffs on the hero and nearby allies and recovers Health equal to 250 + 35% of Magical Power. (Cooldown: 50 sec)

Dev Comments
High Priest's Consolation is typically purchased by Support heroes who have no buff on allies.

For Dekker and Riktor, who are Support heroes but lack skills that provide buffs to allies, we want to adjust the effects and stats of crucial items so that even heroes with limited support skills can effectively protect their allies.

[Hunting Instinct]

1. Effects
Before: Upon defeating an enemy hero, grants a Shield that absorbs 290-460 Damage for 25 sec.
Now: Upon defeating an enemy hero, grants a Shield that absorbs 260-430 Damage for 20 sec.

2. Price adjusted
Before: 2,800
Now: 3,100

Dev Comments
Hunting Instinct has become a must-have item for Warriors and certain Rangers in most games. However, there is a significant skill gap between players who can use it effectively and those who can't.

The item is challenging to activate and favors skilled players. We believe that the difficulty of purchasing the item is relatively low for these players. With that in mind, we want to increase its cost, making it a high-risk, high-return item.

[Shockwave Generator]

1. Effects
Before: When Health is 30% or lower, deals 150 Magical Damage to all nearby enemies and Stuns for 2 sec. (120 sec)
Now: When Health is 30% or lower, deals 150 Magical Damage to all nearby enemies and Stuns for 1.2 sec. (120 sec)

Dev Comments
The high purchase rate of the Shockwave Generator has led to an overabundance of its effects in fights. While there is a sense of "I can survive" for players who purchase it, it can be frustrating for multiple players to be hit by its stun.

This frustration is likely to be magnified, especially if more than one player buys it. We also want to adjust the stun duration to reduce this frustration and imbalance, given the long stun duration for Rangers and Casters.

[Embodiment of Vengeance]

1. Price adjusted
Before: 2,600
Now: 2,800

Dev Comments
In addition to being efficient, Embodiment of Vengeance is also relatively cheap in comparison to other Magical Power items. As a result, in today's fast-paced meta, its early purchase has a disproportionate impact on early fights.

As a result, we want to adjust its cost to make it more difficult to activate its effects.

[Ekidna's Trick]

1. Stats
Before: Magical Power 55, Mana 900
Now: Magical Power 55, Mana 700

Dev Comments
The purchase of Ekidna's Trick has provided excessive persistence in continuous combat due to its high Mana amount. This allows for constant skill use without running out of Mana. We want to adjust the Max Mana amount to give players a sense of Mana depletion during long fights.

[Healing Nano Machines]

1. Stats
Before: Health 800, Health Regen 3, Cooldown 10%
Now: Health 750, Health Regen 3, Cooldown 10%

2. Effects
Before: Recovers 3% of Max Health every sec when out of combat for 6 sec.
Now: Recovers 2.8% of Max Health every sec when out of combat for 6 sec.

Dev Comments
Since Maco was released, Healing Nano Machines have become popular, and that only increased with the release of Boris, making both heroes highly efficient.

This has led to these heroes having sustainability that is too strong in a continuous fight. We want to adjust the item's effects and stats to reduce their efficiency in long fights.
