Hello Community,
recently I’ve been asked again whether the large werewolf mutant from the early development stages of KeepUp Survival should make a comeback.
For those who don’t know:
At the very beginning of development, there was already a large werewolf in the game. At the time, interest in it was rather low. Since KeepUp Survival was designed from the start as a classic survival game with a strong focus on base building and exploring nature, I later decided to remove it.
In the past, I’ve seen that bigger changes to the game’s direction can be received very differently. Because of that, one thing is especially important to me:
👉 The main game should keep its identity.
I don’t want to introduce unexpected changes that are forced on existing players.
That said, I still want to take current community feedback seriously and discuss this openly with you.

How do you feel about a possible werewolf comeback?
- Yes, but only as an optional feature (e.g. a toggleable mode or world option)
- No, please don’t add more monsters to the main game
👉 Important:
Even with positive feedback, the werewolf would not automatically become part of the normal game, but would remain clearly optional.
