Hello friends 💜
A new month, a new edition of Nova's Diary!
And what a month it was! Tons of events, with lots of new people playing our demo and KICKSTARTER!
First in line was the Guerrilla Collective Festival. We've been introduced to it by a friend from Wholesome Games and it seemed like a great event to announce the beginning of our Kickstarter Page. then some unexpected surprises happened, but I believe we got through pretty well.
Second in line was the Steam Next Fest, which was undoubtedly more chill to organize, as we just needed to schedule 2 streams. We never get tired of streaming, and this time things went exceptionally well with our second stream (AKA "The pigeonary", which should air on our YT shortly).

Even if you do not speak pasta, you can tell that those are some pretty juicy numbers!
And last but not least, Kickstarter. A very big scary jump for us that we're willing to make. Granted, having to delay the launch and settle with just the pre-launch page wasn't exactly what we hoped for, but we're positive that we'll manage and launch it in due time (also spoiler: our full page looks sick!!).
So that takes care of the bulk of June, aswell as what concerned both designers and some artists.

Now let's dive in the actual devlog.
Skipping directly to 2D stuff, apart from some assistance in the creation of our KS page, our artists have worked on stuff already known, particularly on the Library: we finally have a clear vision of it and we hope to make it one of the most recognisable places in the game with its sheer size.

Pretty barren huh? Just you wait 'till we fill it with stuff!
They also worked on new animations! Primarily on Nova and Min (which you have seen in our new trailer), but the star of the show is the Archivist! She received extra-special care when creating her animations/expressions and we couldn't be happier!

That tail do be acting funny tho

I mean, how can you not love her!
Moving on to 3D stuff, remember that ominous tower that we showcased a month ago? Now it has a proper model, and a proper texturing too! Something else we've worked on was a new chruch model, to be placed inside our new level.

*cue ominous music once again*

Topping things off with programming stuff, things are looking fine with vibes, and we have just started working on transitions and mixed trail colours. Last but not least, finally some work went to finishing up the Library Puzzle! Last month it was little more than a concept, and now it is almost completed.

Looks complicated but trust me, it's just looks
And that's all for the month of June. Boy oh boy what a ride it has been so far.
But just like Mr. Bones' Wild Ride, it never ends... (huge props if you know this meme)

Follow us on socials if you want to keep up with updates! Oh and remember to follow us on our Kickstarter Pre-Launch Page too, so you may be notified when it actually begins! https://bit.ly/3wLUW6x
See you next month!!!
