The path of the warrior always comes with obstacles and battles to be won, but the resulting peace is worth the fight. We wanted to share with you our development journey so far and give you all a sneak peek at what’s on the horizon for The Spirit of the Samurai!
Since our launch on December 12th 2024, our small team has continued to work steadily and very hard on The Spirit of the Samurai to improve the gameplay experience by listening to your feedback and suggestions, as well as adding new features and content. We’re extremely grateful to everyone who has taken the time to submit bug reports and give their feedback, which has helped us to make these updates and plan for the future of the game!
We’ve released two major updates so far, which came with quality of life improvements, balancing, improved combat controls, optimization of Steam Deck performance, a whole new cut-scene, and lots of bug fixes. If you want to know everything that was included in these updates, you can check out our patch notes for the first one here and the second one here.
So what does the road ahead look like for The Spirit of the Samurai?
We’re working on a third update at the moment, which will include a new enemy and brand new death cinematics! On top of that, we’ll also be adding more depth to the combo system, implementing more player feedback, and more bug fixes.
After that, we plan to update the game regularly as soon as we have new improvements ready. All of these updates and all of the new content will be free for all players.
