Friends, Brian Rubin here, to let you know that 1.6 -- the next major upgrade to the game -- has now been released to playtesters. This is a major milestone in the journey to us bringing it to Steam in the next few months. Many of the new features in 1.6 include:
- Tons of fixed bugs
- A new Fleet Management screen that allows you to easily see what all your other Krellan ships in the region are doing and where they are.
- A new Combat Command Center that gives you quick and fluid control of the immediate battle area around your battlecruiser, including weapon, navigational and other commands.
- The ability to spend Krels to not only accelerate repair of crippled battlecruisers, but to upgrade your personal battlecruiser once you reach the rank of Subadmiral. This upgraded battlecruiser has, for example, more energy, armor, supplies, and shock troops.
- Improved AI for both friendly and enemy forces.
- New defenses for the enemy, such as freighters which can now drop mines or ECM for heavy cruisers.
- Destroyers are now equipped with phasers alongside torpedoes to help combat upgrades to the UGA.
- Artifacts can now be found on planets and, if possible, installed on your ship for severe tactical upgrades.
- Troops on a planet will now call down dropships to withdraw from a conquered zone without your intervention.
- Easily navigate to any planet with new quick navigational features that will you to any planet, any planet with a landing party, or the closest friendly Starfort.
- New Big Brother features, allowing you to tag planets vulnerable to a Big Brother takeover, as well as a status bar to keep track of how your landing parties are doing.
- And much more!
1.6 is a massive revolutionary and evolutionary step up for the game, which will allow for even more to come in 1.7!
We can't wait to bring this to you once it hits 2.0. Thanks for all of you who have wishlisted the game, and we'll bring you more soon!
