First of all, thank you for the incredible response during Steam Next Fest! We’ve gone through all your feedback and worked hard to bring Beyond Enemy Lines – Vietnam to the next level.
What’s New?
Massively reworked AI: Improved reaction times, smarter cover logic, and more realistic behavior under combat stress.
Streaming performance: Tackled several streaming issues and optimized asset structures for smoother gameplay.
Engine upgrade: We’ve moved to Unreal Engine 5.6, unlocking a range of visual and performance improvements.
What’s Next?
The Demo Stays! We’ll continue to update it instead of removing it.
Upcoming Demo Update: We’re waiting for a UE5.6-ready FSR plugin. Once that’s available, we’ll push a major demo update featuring all the new improvements.
Future Focus: The demo will gradually shift towards Multiplayer and User Generated Content with an in-game mission editor. More details will follow after the AI update goes live!
