Hello everyone!
Thanks to your feedback, we’ve rolled out a ton of improvements and introduced a mysterious new face, Cyrus!
CYRUS
A robotic researcher, explorer, and historian. Cyrus is a machine obsessed with uncovering the truth hidden at the heart of SELINI. As a data collector, Cyrus doesn’t just record history but he helps you uncover it.
Inspired by the myth of Icarus, Cyrus is drawn to the sun, a metaphor for the forbidden truth about SELINI. His mission is to uncover it no matter the cost, but will he survive the light or burn in the revelation?
This character was conceptualized and inspired by our amazing Kickstarter backer Michael Smith (Serik).
Next, I pushed the following updates on the demo:
DEMO HIGHLIGHTED IMPROVEMENTS (Changes players can experience in the demo)
Larger menu sprites for better visibility
LB + RB (or Q + E) now always visible for tab switching
Replaced dots with intuitive symbols to show what each tab represents
Added more details in the Controls menu in Settings
Health system diagram now appears by default in your diary (requires a new game session)
New intro scenes
Cyrus (NPC) gives you a diary item in one room
Added simple platforming and draggable puzzles on the way
Pendulum platforms and interactable elements added for more dynamic traversal
Optimized graphics and lighting across multiple areas
New background mini cinematic sequences
Disabled the weird little jump when the player accepted the "terms"
Adjusted paths and interactions for more intuitive exploration
Note for Players: Some features (like the health diagram) require starting a new game session to appear.
FULL GAME PROGRESS (Updates for the complete game, not in the demo)
Cinema Room: Added a monitor in the Dunes where all collected diary items can play an animation
Teleports (Black Holes)
Fixed drone bullets. Now they perfectly aligned with laser pointers
Fixed several minor bugs
Other than that, I gave the Steam page a little visual refresh with new little graphics and GIFs. I hope you like it.
As always, thank you all for your support 🙏
Take care!
