Today is a very special day for us: Aztecs: The Last Sun has officially reached Version 1.0.
What started as an idea slowly grew into a world, a vision, a demo, and, finally, a game we are incredibly proud to share with all of you. This milestone would not have been possible without your support, feedback, patience, and enthusiasm.
From the very first wishlists, comments, bug reports, screenshots, and discussions - every bit of encouragement helped us keep moving forward and improve the game step by step. Seeing players explore our world, share their experiences, and believe in the project has meant more to us than we can express.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us. Thank you for your trust and support. And most importantly: thank you for playing.

Two New Game Modes: Sandbox and Creative
Based on your feedback, there are now more game modes available!
In Sandbox Mode, there are no quests. Only the relentless night and your will to survive. How long can Tenochtitlán endure?
Or forget about survival and build the city the gods always intended, exactly as you envision it in Creative Mode.
Play Your Way: Relaxed and Doom Difficulty
If you want to sit back, immerse yourself in the story, and rule with little economic pressure, Relaxed difficulty has you covered. Or lock in and face Doom: the most punishing challenge the game has ever offered, with Pause permanently disabled.
City Growth: New Buildings and 4th Level Unlocked
Expand your empire's reach with two new production buildings: the Mud Miners Outpost and the Obsidian Miners Outpost, bringing new resources to fuel Tenochtitlán's growth.
With a new Technology perk, you can now unlock the 4th Level for select buildings, increasing their production output, worker capacity, and the speed at which your people toil in service of the empire.
And a new story building - the Sun Pillar.
Photo Mode
So, you built a prosperous city in Creative Mode? We would love to see it! Use the new Photo mode for the best captures.
Version 1.0 is also packed with balance improvements, QoL changes and many bug fixes.
