It's time to “Make a Killing!”
We are excited to announce that during the Steam Next Fest we will be hosting our very first Nine to Five Showdown. This 2-day event goes down on June 19th and 20th.
Nine to Five "Make a Killing" Showdown will see teams from the NA, EU, and APAC regions compete to earn the most points during two 2-hour windows. Each region has their own time slot on each day of the competition.
Q: When does Make a Killing Showdown take place?
The competition will happen on June 19th and 20th.
The showdown will be running on both days, meaning that you’ll be able to participate on both Saturday and Sunday during these timeslots.
Each of 3 regions will have dedicated timeslots during which teams from these regions will be able to earn points.
- EU: 7 PM- 9 PM CEST
- NA: 5 PM – 7 PM PT / 8 PM – 10 PM ET
- APAC: 6 PM – 8 PM JST / 7 PM – 9 PM AET / 5 PM-7 PM CST
Q: How to participate in the Showdown?
Assemble a team and sign up via this form: Sign-up form
- Only one player per team can submit the form.
- Players cannot join more than one team.
- One team can only play on the server they have selected during the registration.
- A team can only earn points while playing during their selected region timeslot and on a correct server.
You can register until the start of the first time slot for your server!

What is the format of the competition?
Participating teams will not necessarily play against each other. At a specific time, they will enter the regular matchmaking queue and will earn points based on their team's performance in each match.
NOTE! Different regions have their own dedicated timeslots. You must play on the server/region you have selected during the registration.
Here are the timeslots for each region/server:
- APAC: 6 PM – 8 PM JST / 7 PM – 9 PM AET / 5 PM-7 PM CST
- EU: 7 PM- 9 PM CEST
- NA: 5 PM – 7 PM PT / 8 PM – 10 PM ET
The points can only be earned during the 2-hour timeslot each day of the competition.
How to earn points?
Teams will earn points for winning rounds or eliminating the opponents.
A team can obtain a maximum of 6 points per round, up to 18 points per match (1 match = 3 rounds):
- 6 points for winning a round.
- 1 point for killing an enemy.
You can only obtain a maximum of 6 points per round. For example, if your team has 4 kills, and you win the round, you’ll only receive the 6 points for winning the round, as it is the maximum number of points per round.
Players can earn points only when they play in their pre-registered 3-person team. Points can only be earned as a team, not individual players.
How to see the leaderboards?
Each day we will share leaderboards for each region and one global leaderboard.
We will share the leaderboards on our social media and Discord within 24 hours of the end of each region’s timeslot.
Is there any reward?
The Make a Killing Showdown is purely for fun. The main reward will be fame and a strong flex on the competition.
