Greetings fellow buckyballers!
Time for another developer update!
The developer stream yesterday was a total blast! We showcased plenty of fresh elements, optimizations and of course, a new goalkeeper that is coming to SBT very soon!
In this dev update, we'll give players a rundown of all the major elements discussed during this event, again, feel free to comment and let us know what you think about it :)
Hallie, welcome to the party!
A new goalkeeper is finally coming into the game! Covered by futuristic robotic arms, Hallie is a military personnel equipped with the latest tech. As our first-ever female goalie, the addition will add more depth and diversity into the current roster.
It'll still take us a while to add her into the official game, as Hallie still needs to go through rigorous testing, as well as visual optimizations. More details about her skillset will be revealed at a later date.
Adjustments on General Abilities
In July update, we've made a big change to the gameplay by removing the item system completely while adding general abilities (GA) that players can select before the match started. Based on the feedback received throughout the testing period, we've decided to continue to adjust the system to make it more strategic and fun to play.
In the upcoming version, each player will be able to select 2 GA before the match started.
Meanwhile, we've redesigned the system so that each GA will only have a set amount of usage per match.
On top of that, the new build we're currently testing on will have a universal cooldown for pretty much all GA. For instance, the rocket fist ability will only have 1 time of usage during a match, with 30 seconds universal cooldowns between each usage.
We're also planning on adding some perks into the game so players can pick up and receive a bonus usage of their GA. Moreover, the GA lineup will also be expanded to make sure a wide range of selections for all players.
Character Optimizations
You've probably already heard the enlarged stadiums and optimized aiming system, as discussed in the August Developer Update.

Along with these changes, the team have decided to revaluate current characters and adjust their abilities to fit with the new aiming mechanic and further optimize gameplay experience.
This includes skin special effects, ultimate optimizations, balancing changes and more.
At the moment, only a few characters have been optimized and we can't wait to share more when it's ready later.
Be aware that all the adjustments we mentioned in the developer update are subject to change and we'd love to hear what you think about these potential changes coming into the game in the future.
Make sure you wishlist the full game and try out the Demo now!
