We're absolutely thrilled to reveal that Against the Storm: The Board Game is in development!

Developed by Mindclash Games, Against the Storm: The Board Game is a co-operative, heavy Euro-style game where players build a settlement at the edge of civilization, balancing survival, exploration, and a deep economic engine in a dark fantasy world constantly threatened by the mysterious Blightstorm.
Inspired by the design philosophy of roguelike video games, Against the Storm: The Board Game features highly variable setups, meaningful drafting decisions, and a richly interconnected economic system that rewards adaptability and long-term planning.
Players lead and unite seven distinct species - Humans, Beavers, Lizards, Harpies, Foxes, Frogs, and Bats - each with unique strengths, needs, and scoring conditions. Every combination of species changes the dynamic of the settlement, encouraging cooperation and specialization, while offering almost endless variations to returning players.

We had a chance to discuss the adaptation with many talented creators, but it was Mindclash Games who won us over with their genuine passion for Against the Storm, their approach to designing games, and their respect for players.
Mindclash is highly regarded among board game fans, with two of their titles, Anachrony and Voidfall, ranked among the top 100 games of all time on BoardGameGeek - the largest board game database and community. We have no doubt that Against the Storm is in the right hands.
The talented Justin Gerard has painted the board game's box art and all its species portraits. We couldn’t be happier with the choice of artist, as our graphic designer, Damian, has always looked up to Justin's work while developing Against the Storm. Justin's whimsical and intricate style evokes the wonder of childhood fantasies. Having him create illustrations inspired by Against the Storm is a dream come true.
