Greetings, associate!
Despite Revival being in Alpha and a lot of the systems still needing work, the response from players was enthusiastic so far! And our team is very grateful for that.
Of course, a lot of aspects of the game need to improve before we can move to the next milestone and prepare Revival for an eventual release into Early Access. We plan to keep the Open Alpha running for the next 4 months at least and to make the overall game experience smoother, with your help and feedback.
For now, enjoy the latest game patch that includes the following changes:
UI:
- City and combat panels now remain correctly positioned within set boundaries;
- Adjusted font size and text position within certain window borders;
- Adjusted the size of a few UI elements, as well as their availability during opponent’s turn;
- Outdated information removed from the unit panel;
- All of the resources that are mined on a hex are now visible;
- Resource icons removed from the strategic map;
- Icon animation when zooming on the game map should be smoother now;
- Added tweaks to the diplomacy window between factions (emissaries);
Cities and Tribes:
- When you take over another city, the surrounding fence is automatically rebuilt, as it should be;
- Destroying automatons does not negatively affect your relationships with tribes;
- All the factors that influence tribe loyalty are now displayed correctly;
- All tribe settlements now have a bonfire. They are two steps away from the invention of the wheel!
- Fixed a bug with tribe assimilation, tribal warriors should now be available to the player;
- Fixed a bug related to improving districts.
Combat system:
- The unit panel in combat mode should now appear when clicked on;
- When attacking a city, all participating units now correctly load into combat;
- New types of icons for combat added;
- Status "Hidden" is displayed for hidden units;
- Merging with an army when leaving a city now works as it should;
- Fixed a bug with certain weapons causing issues when used.
Text and dialogue:
- Corrected english translations of bits of text and dialogue;
- Changed the wording of some of the notifications.
Miscellaneous:
- You can no longer buy a unit if you don't have enough money. Long live capitalism!
- A foreign climate can no longer kill your units! Instead, their health drops to a critical level, but your troops and workers will stay alive;
- Automatons no longer disappear near edict capsules. Now you will definitely have to fight them if you want to deactivate those capsules;
- Fixed a few errors related to save files not loading correctly;
- Fixed an error that occurred when crossing borders in an ocean.
This list was made to highlight some of the more noticeable changes in this update. The full list of changes is much longer, but we won’t bore you with that :)
Update your game build via Steam and enjoy your time in the post-apocalyptic future. And of course, keep sharing your thoughts, ideas and stories with us!
Respectfully,
Revival: Recolonization Team
