Hi everyone, got another update for you, hot off the presses.
NOTE: It is recommended that you start a new game for this update. Loading an old save should work fine but the earnings won't be displayed correctly with the new UI and tracking changes listed below. New films should get updated and displayed correctly but it can't go back and fix ones that were already saved. Other than that it does work fine with old saves so obviously, do what you want. :)
- Changed UI in Licensing view so that instead of 'Total Earned' you will see Studio Earnings (money that has actually gone to your studio, both from licensing fees and box office sales beyond the advance) and Box Office Earnings (which is the total the film earned at the box office, regardless of who the money went to). Hopefully this will help make things more clear about how much your films are earning for you.
- Fixed issue where you could only add one producer to a new film after loading a save game
- Adjusted critic ratings of Actor performances to prevent there being so many 5 star ratings (still totally do-able though)
- Adjusted max values for Camera and Set crews
- Fixed issue in loading saved games that could cause you to not have to repay a distribution company for the advance they gave you
- Added some randomness to the percentage of income from Box Office sales being offered
- Fixed issue that would cause all promises to be listed for both Actors and Directors, instead of only listing the ones relevant to that profession (i.e. clicking Promises when searching for directors will only show promises with Directors)
- Lowered the licensing fees and theatrical distribution advances a bit
Enjoy! And please stop by the Steam Discussions or email [email protected] with any questions/concerns/comments.
