And I'll Wrestle You

Cecilia Miradoli, the lead singer of Milan's Nomoredolls, is my kind of girl. She was singing Billie Holliday songs in jazz clubs, then going home and singing AC/DC in the shower. She decided it was her destiny to form a kick-ass indie band, and that's exactly what she did.

"Electric sheep" has several scenic-looking banking turns, and a driving rhythm.

The real star of "Another Girl" is the bassline. I also love the girlish tattle-tale-y "nah nah nah" section toward the end.

Lastly, "Deadly Foe" has an unusual rhythm and a catchy refrain--it's either "And I'll wrestle you" or "Anorexia" depending on how you listen. I had a fun time hearing lots of double meanings in these lyrics because of her light Italian accent.
