Hey, friends! Redneck Ed: Astro Monsters Show went live on the 10th of September and today we are ready to deploy the very first patch to improve your gaming experience. The update is already available and here is a shortlist of the main changes it introduced:
- Full wireless PS4 DualShock 4 support. The controller will now be usable the same as all the other DirectInput and XInput compatible devices.
- Slightly revamped controls and fighting mechanics that will make Ed easier to handle when it comes to jumping and performing combos. The character will now move faster and no longer feel the need to pause in-between certain attack strings and dashes.
- The directional pad will now be used for menu selection and controlling in-game elevators while the left stick will be mapped to moving Ed around by default. This can be changed in the Settings menu, however, depending on player preference.
- More control customization options with improved tracking and additional measures to prevent overlapping input issues. All keys will now be separated into three distinct categories: movement, menu, and functional buttons with an option to revert any changes and restore default settings.
- Fixed an issue with incorrect button hints being displayed in the bottom right corner of the screen when using certain controller models.
- Added new and improved sound effects.
- Adjusted the difficulty of certain arenas to make them slightly more approachable. Don't let your guard down though - you should still be prepared to face off against challenging bosses and alien monsters!
- Fixed a number of bugs and minor progress blockers. Improved localization files as well as overall text readability.
As always, we eagerly await any feedback you have about Redneck Ed: Astro Monsters Show in this topic on Steam and on our official Discord server. Thank you for your continued support!
