Patch 1.3.4
Hey all, the big item (and new hero) update is coming along nicely, but I figured I may as well push these changes through now for you all to play around with.
~ Dale
General Changes
- For the cost of 15 gold, you can now restock/reroll a merchant. Using this feature saves the game.
- The merchant now carries a 2nd ancient item instead of a 3rd potion.
- The average cost of items at the merchant has been reduced slightly.
- Updates to the backpack and merchant exit button sprites.
Item Changes
Items with 'start of combat' effects will now always activate in the most beneficial order possible. Previously the order of activation was somewhat inconsistent, making most effects not interact. I'll also mention the previous start of combat resolution order of "Item > Hero > Enemy" has not been altered, this change only affects interactions between items. Here are some examples of the new interactions:
- Plate of the Fallen/Veil of the Holy Mother + Warlord's Burden/Life-giving Chamber - The damage is avoided and you gain the effects. The description on Life-giving Chamber has been updated to reflect that the buff is not based on the damage actually inflicted. This interaction was already in the game, but required the items to be equipped in a certain order, which is no longer required. Having one of these items activate the Juggernaut's passive ability will also add to the effect of the items mentioned below.
- Salem's Shadow Boots/Seeker of Virtue/Shard of the Deep/Hag's Hex Bag + Fenrir's Bane - The damage from Fenrir's Bane is now placed after these effects are calculated. The initial shield from War Mage's Greatstaff will also now benefit from start of combat ATK increases.
- Tower Shield/Seeker of Virtue + Final Bastion - The initial shield from Final Bastion will now benefit from these effects.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a visual bug where the Ronin wouldn't apply a mark to summoned enemies.
- Fixed Ragnarok (ancient item) not hitting all enemies (and added a different animation).
- Fixed a bug where Ascension Cloak wouldn't work when the enemy is already attacking their 2nd preferred target.
