UI Improvements
- Changed the UI to have a rounded aesthetic with larger text, buttons, and sliders
- Added a navigation panel that is used to easily access the file explorer, web browser, bookmarks, recent videos, favorited videos, the media library, playlists, general user settings, key bindings, and the user guide.
- Added a basic video settings menu that uses sliders to adjust simple settings like the orientation, origin, motion, sharpness, etc. Key frames and presets are also accessible. The menu can expand or collapse groups of settings to suit the user's preference.
- The seek bar now contains buttons to expand or collapse the main menu, basic video settings, advanced video settings, and video tags menu. The position and rotation of the menu can be locked by clicking on the lock icon, and the opacity of the menu can be set by clicking on the eye icon. In addition, videos can be favorited and rated by using the corresponding UI elements on the seek bar.
- The categorized tags search panel now uses a drop down box to select the tag category. Alphabetical markers have been added to quickly jump to a section of the list. The categorized tags panel can be used to quickly add search terms when browsing the media library or DeoVR websites.
- Clicking the grip button (or right clicking the mouse) when hovered above a video entry will open up a context menu that can be used to add the video to a playlist or delete the video.
- Changed the volume adjustment to use a slider instead of a number box. Clicking on the volume icon will toggle the audio on/off.
- The menu size can be changed in the user settings by adjusting the menu view arc setting
- The virtual keyboard, pop-up menus, and drop-down boxes automatically close when they are clicked off of
Media Library
- The media library stores the settings, tags, rating, and other information for every video that has been played (for both local and streamed videos).
- Recent and favorited videos can be accessed through the media library.
- The media library can be searched with tags, names, whether the video is favorited, and boolean operations (and, or, not). Results can be sorted by date added, average rating, play count, etc.
- Media sources are local folders or websites that contain the videos. Local folders can automatically be scanned at startup to keep the media library updated. The visibility of a media source can be toggled on/off when browsing the media library.
Playlists
- Playlists are now supported. Right click on a video to open up a context menu for adding the video to a playlist.
- Use the playlist button in the top left corner to add multiple selected videos or the entire search results to a playlist.
Video Tags
- A menu for viewing and editing video tags has been added.
- Clicking on a tag will select the tag for editing. Click on it again to seek to start of the tag.
- Create a new tag track by using the "Add Track" button.
- Adjust the start and end times of the tag by seeking to the desired time and then using the "Update Start" and "Update End" buttons.
- Use the "Insert Before" or "Insert After" button to insert a new tag on the same track as the selected tag. The new tag will automatically fill the available space in the track.
- Organize the tag tracks by selecting a tag and using the "Move Up" or "Move Down" buttons.
- Right click/grip button click on a tag will also open up a context menu with editing tools.
- While holding the grip button, you can move the thumbstick left to update the start time, right to update the end time, up to insert a tag before, and down to insert a tag after. Clicking the thumbstick will delete the tag.
- The auto seek tags feature plays portions of the video with the specified tag criteria. To use this feature, select a tag and press the "Auto Seek Requires Tag", "Auto Seek Optional Tag", or "Auto Seek Avoids Tag" buttons to add the tag with the correct formatting to the "Auto Seek Tags Criteria" input box. You can also just type the tags directly into the criteria input box. Once that's completed, enable the toggle to the left of the criteria input box to enable auto seeking. If there are no valid time ranges found. the auto seek feature will automatically turn off. If you want to loop a file, make sure the repeat button is enabled, else the player will automatically jump to the next file that contains a valid auto seek time range.
- Added buttons to the video tags menu to quickly search the media library for videos that contain the selected tag (or don't contain it).
Other Changes
- Added audio key frames that can be used to set audio time offsets and volume multiplier.
- The web browser home page can now be specified in the user settings, and the player can remember and load the last visited website.
- The clock can be set to display a 24-hour format by toggling the corresponding user setting.
Key Binding Additions and Changes
- Focus Multiscreen - Enlarges a video and moves it to the foreground while allowing the other multiscreen videos to play in the background.
- Delete Current File - Show a prompt to confirm the deletion of the currently open file.
- Recenter All - Recenter the screen so it matches your head orientation, affecting all rotation axis (pitch, yaw, roll).
- Increment Sensor Shift X - Adjusts both the left and right image Shift X settings in the same direction.
- Increment Sensor Shift Y - Adjusts both the left and right image Shift Y settings in the same direction.
- Offset Sensor Shift X - Adjusts both the left and right image Shift X settings in opposite directions.
- Offset Sensor Shift Y - Adjusts both the left and right image Shift Y settings in opposite directions.
- Increment Sensor Scale X - Adjusts both the left and right image Scale X settings in the same direction.
- Increment Sensor Scale Y - Adjusts both the left and right image Scale Y settings in the same direction.
- Offset Sensor Scale X - Adjusts both the left and right image Scale X settings in opposite directions.
- Offset Sensor Scale Y - Adjusts both the left and right image Scale Y settings in opposite directions.
- Increment Stereo Alignment Pitch - Adjust the stereo alignment pitch setting.
- Increment Stereo Alignment Yaw - Adjust the stereo alignment yaw setting.
- Increment Stereo Alignment Roll - Adjust the stereo alignment roll setting.
Bug Fixes
- The timestamp server has been fixed to take audio time offsets into account.
- Changed seeking/scrubbing behavior to prevent the video from locking up and not being able to seek.
- Fixed issue with media sources being repeatedly added when using XBVR
- Fixed "Recenter Yaw" bug where the screen isn't positioned correctly when motion is enabled.
