Welcome to Godking: Master of Rituals early access!
We are incredibly happy and relieved we are finally here. It feels surreal and humbling - but mostly it feels really good.
First we have to thank our friends, family and beta testers for all their help. We would not have gotten here without you, and we won’t forget. Thanks a ton to all of you!
Second a gentle warning: This is an early access release day, and chances are there could be issues. We recommend waiting a few days if you want to guarantee yourself the most smooth impression of early Godking you can get.
With that out of the way - there are no illusions here. We know we have just completed a massive milestone, but we are also aware that this is when the real work begins. We are ready to react to problems, and we are excited and motivated to pour all we got into making Godking the best 4X fantasy strategy game it can be.
Over the next few days we will focus on making the game as stable and problem free as possible, and making sure no one is prevented from playing. We also want to make sure it runs super smooth, even on older hardware.
Going forward we will work with our community on the direction of the game. These are the first baby steps of what Godking can be, and we can’t wait to keep expanding on it. Forward in all directions!
And this is where we would love to hear from you. What would you like to see more of? What kind of playable factions would you like to see in the game? Elves? Dwarves? Or maybe a ratling faction? Or how about a faction of werewolves, or undead floating wraiths? Or some kind of vampire faction? A faction of ethereal ghosts? A playable faction of spider priests and mages.. Could that be fun?
We would also love to hear your thoughts on the topic of multiplayer for Godking. Is this something our players really want? Or would you prefer more focus on general game content and more and more ruthlessly efficient AI players?
