Emperium 1.0.5 Patch Notes

Content in this patch includes;

  • Sundered Plains Zone
  • Mount Invictus Raid
  • New Story Chapter
  • Job Balance
  • Bug Fixes

The Sundered Plains

The Sundered Plains is the first Max Level zone in the
world of Emperium. It features an extensive progression system
where the higher Reputation you have with the zone's faction the
further you can progress into the zone. Eventually unlocking the
Airship allowing you to enter the first raid "Mount Invictus"
The way you progress is by turning in Riftland Coins. Coins have a 1:1
ratio where 1 coin equals 1 reputation. You can also spend coins at a
vendor to buy seeds for your farm or gear.

The next sections will provide information on the various activities
available in the zone.

Heroes Call

Three times per week you will be able to attempt a difficult
boss that requires a full party. Clearing the boss gives 150 reputation
and 100 Riftland Coins.

Hall of Skulls

A unique timed dungeon with no minimum party requirement.
The rewards scale with the amount of time remaining when you finish
the gauntlet. Failing to finish in time will result in you getting the lowest
quality rewards.

Mt. Invictus

Mount Invictus is an 8 boss raid instance, that drops gear ranging from item level 50 to item level 70. This will become Best in Slot until the patch 1.1 raid is released. The raid follows the weekly reset meaning you can kill these bosses 1 time every week. You are also able to extend your raid lockout by 1 in game day.

Mt. Invictus Attunement

Upon reaching 850 reputation with the zone you will unlock the raid
and the attunement quest. Within Mount Invictus Fire Resistance will be lowered significantly.
In order to counter this you can complete the attunement in order to give yourself a passive fire resistance buff. This attunement involves running dungeons, collecting materials from special gathering nodes or growing a specific crop in your farm.

This attunement is not necessary for the first few bosses will when you reach the back half of the
raid it will become almost required.

Job Balance

Talent Changes

Generic Physical DPS Talent "Second Chance" has been changed;
-Chance to gain an additional action per turn has been decreased from 25% ----> 5%

Developer Note

This talent was way better than anything else in the game and it was a massive oversight
to let the game be released with it in this state. Talents have a general power budget I set internally and this was going way over the allotted budget for a generic talent.

Warrior

-Fell Cleave has been changed;
-Damage formula has been changed from a.atk * 8 - b.def * 3 ----> a.atk * 5 - b.def * 3

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug that tied game logic to refresh rate
  • Fixed an issue preventing more than 1 Daily quest from being turned in at a time
  • Fix a problem where finishing "The Nexus" chapter of the eternal quest would not allow you to teleport to The Nexus.
  • Fixed a problem where you would be removed from a dungeon immediately upon entering has been fixed
  • Fixed a bug where completing a Nexus Dungeon would always update your high score even if it was lower than your previous best.
  • Fixed a bug where if you kill Ogmios in the Daybreak Caverns hard dungeon before the crystal spawns
  • the boss will die, but you still have to kill the crystal.
  • Fixed a bug where the burning affix was not being properly applied
  • Fixed a bug that allowed you to Construct an Elemental Weapon before obtaining the proper item
  • to start the quest line.

IMPORTANT

-You will have to unlock the Nexus again, this is because of back end changes to how the unlock is handled. This will NOT reset your seasonal stats in any way.

Known issues

  • A problem where encounters in Nexus Dungeons will randomly reset forcing you to fight a single boss twice making the dungeon unintentionally more difficult. The cause of this is still being looked into. If possible submitting a video of this happening would narrow down the cause a lot.
