The updated keep on upping and dating! We're serious about having this version of Starlets be the most polished, intuitive, fun, and definitive version available! So while we've already put a ton of work into the big 1.5 update that dropped back in June, we received a lot of good feedback about additional changes and features you guys wanted to see in the game! We've gone ahead and run with those and we're proud to show off the results of this effort!
Version 1.5b
Version 1.5b makes unlocked scenes easier to revisit, improves the visual novel interface, and prevents unwinnable card rounds from leaving players stuck.|
New Features
Unlocked Gallery entries can now replay their associated story scenes in addition to displaying their CGs.
Added **Scrap Film** for card rounds that can no longer be completed. If there are not enough playable cards left to finish a film, the round can now end cleanly and return directly to the city.
Gallery Improvements
Added separate **View CGs** and **Play Scene** actions to unlocked Gallery entries.
Improved Gallery navigation for controller users.
Improved CG viewer presentation.
Improved transitions when replaying a story from either the title screen or paused gameplay.
Visual Novel Improvements
Polished the dialogue interface, control buttons, and dialogue backlog.
Added **Auto Delay** option in Settings.
Fixes
Fixed visual-novel UI button clicks sometimes advancing the dialogue behind the button.
Fixed pause and Gallery layers appearing over story scenes launched from the Gallery.
Fixed film recap handling when a failed round contains fewer recorded scenes than usual.
What's next for Starlets? We'd like to make the game available in more languages!
We're already working on some translations for Dungeon Tavern (which will be releasing first, alongside some additional voicework I'd like to get implemented over for that game still.), and after that, Starlets is next on the list!
