New Episode 5 Update: Lidia, Ariadne, The Presence, and much more!

Dear Song of Horror fans,

Two weeks left before the launch of Episode 5!!!

We are so close to the last verse of the song! Everything is coming to an end: The horrors you witnessed. The answers you needed. The characters that you lost, and those who survived. And The Presence, now fully unleashed, connecting them all.

Make sure to check our first update where we show Jeremy Hartwood, share some details about the start of the story and more! And now, here's some new stuff you will find in Episode 5:

Playing with Lidia for the first time

You all know Lidia since the beginning of Episode 2. She is a dear friend of Daniel, a committed social worker with a tragic past. During the 70s and the 80s, Lidia witnessed many friends and even love interests fall prey to heroin addiction. Since then, she assists people in poor neighborhoods, jails, conflict zones... Wherever she can.

Lidia met Daniel at her rehab program, where she guided him on his struggle against alcoholism. She became to his eyes a savior angel, and one of his best friends to date. Now, she is ready to commit the ultimate act of selflessness: help Daniel get rid of the foreboding Song of Horror.

Understanding the past to change the future

In your terrifying adventure through Jeremy Hartwood mental hospital, you will find clues on the sinister events that took place there. One doctor in particular, Berenice Prestegard, seems to know more than anyone else. After all, she was the professional analyzing the mental state of Ariadne LeGrant-Amsberg when she was a child...

In certain moments of Episode 5, you will have the opportunity to play as Dr. Prestegard in brief flashbacks from the 1920s. These scenes from the past will shed some light on the mysteries behind the LeGrant-Amsberg family, the song, and of course, The Presence. Will you be able to handle the truth?

Ariadne, the central piece of the puzzle

Through Berenice's flashbacks, you will meet Ariadne as a child. She hasn't changed much since then: driven mad by the effects of the song, everything she does and says doesn't seem to make any sense at all. Maybe this last trip will help you finally understand her, unraveling the warped thoughts trapped in the corners of her deranged mind.

The Presence, unchained

We have unleashed the Presence into Jeremy Hartwood! We are making sure that it behaves properly with our final tweaks, hunting you down through the creepy alleys of the hospital when you least expect it.

You are in its domains now: you can stay quiet, you can hide, you can run... But it will eventually catch up to you. Make sure to find everything you need to put on an end to its curse. This is your last chance.

The coda to the Song of Horror

We have spent the last six years of our lives creating Song of Horror, our unique take on survival horror. It hasn't been easy: developing the AI behind The Presence, designing the mechanics tied to the permadeath, and building the Song of Horror universe were steep challenges to overcome. We are proud to see how everything is coming along. But most importantly, we are so happy to see how you all are embracing this experience. The last moments of Song of Horror will leave you all speechless!

Beware of The Presence!
