Take a First-Look at Song of Horror Final Episode: The Horror and The Song!

Dear horror enthusiasts,

We have finished the beta of Song of Horror Episode V: The Horror and the Song! We thought this would be a perfect moment to share with you new images and details of this last episode... So here we go!

The end is near

Following the events of the previous episode, Daniel and his companions are now at a crossroads. He knows he is running out of time: the clock is ticking, faster than ever, closing the gap between his life and his death. His only hopes now rest in the information gathered in his most precious finding to date: Argos LeGrant's Diary, where he finds a hidden note with a critical clue. Desperate, he truly feels this is his last opportunity to survive, and thus, he heads to Jeremy Hartwood Mental Hospital, in chase of the answer that will finally set him free from The Presence.

Calling your friends, one last time

In "The Horror and The Song", the character selection works differently. Looking at Daniel's phone contact agenda, you can only choose one person to play this episode. If they die, it's Daniel's turn.

Exploring Jeremy Hartwood, the forgotten mental hospital

Jeremy Hartwood Mental Hospital, once a recognized healthcare institution in the early XX Century, is now an abandoned building in the middle of nowhere. This is the place where Ariadne spent her childhood. Just like Daniel, the staff of the hospital was trying to understand her odd behavior... Were they able to finish their research?

Jeremy Hartwood is not only the last stage of Song of Horror, but also our take on the quintessential horror setting: the abandoned mental hospital. You will traverse the different wings of this oppressive facility to advance in Episode 5. We have even set a unique enigma where we push you to think about how certain elements can affect the building in different places (or as a whole).

We are also focusing on the past in this episode: not only from the story perspective, but design-wise. Since you are in a XIX century Mental Hospital, you will find old documents and items that tell the story hidden within its walls. Some of them will expand your knowledge of the Song of Horror universe, while others will become the key to complete the story.

Next step: Integrating The Presence

Now that Episode 5 is in place, we are focusing on the manifestations of The Presence in Jeremy Hartwood. The behavior of the AI behind the Song of Horror antagonist, as you know from your scary encounters, is unpredictable, and we have to make sure that The Presence does not escape from the boundaries of the hospital ;)

We are also adding the new characters and scenes, and working on the voice acting, general polish and high quality you can expect from this final episode. We will show you more about our latest progress in a future update, so stay tuned!

Take care.
