Welcome to the Isle of the Banished

Tribesmen!
If you’ve been following the game for a while, we thank you for your patience and can’t wait to share the final product with you. If you’re new to our game, we hope that these blogs will show you what you can expect from Tribe: Primitive Builder.

With this first Tribelog, we wanted to show you the main premise of our story, as well as introduce you to the more mystical aspects that you shall be interacting with once you get to the island yourself.

How did you get Banished?

We all make mistakes. Some of us are lucky enough to avoid the consequences. The Builder you’ll be playing as was not.

Destined to lead his people through his gods given gift of craftsmanship, he used to create structures others only dreamed of. But he was too trustful. Guided by the great forefathers in the sky, he created the tallest and most glorious altar his people have ever seen. But it was not destined to tower over his village…

Thunderstruck, the altar was consumed by flame. All the work lost. And the Elders decided that the Builder was too ambitious. That the gods punished him for the sin of hubris.

Destined for the Isle of the Banished, the Builder is shown that maybe the gods wished for him to end up on these shores since the beginning.

The Mystical Side

When you explore the Isle of the Banished and become a part of the Tribe that takes you into their fold, you’ll get a chance to connect to the gods once more.

The rituals have a cost attached to them, but they always grant you boons and gifts that will help make your Builder’s life easier and more varied.

As you take part in more rituals, the gods will show you ways to improve your craft more and more.
You will have to rely on the gods that the Builder worships to show you how to solve solutions the Tribe encounters. And you will only be able to do that through constant improvement and prayer.

The Impending Doom

Having said that, there might be a reason not to linger in one place for too long. As you will find out, the Isle is not just a haven of tranquility it first seems to be.

There is a mountain on the horizon. A mountain like no others that the Builder has seen. A Fire Mountain that rumbles and threatens the lives of all inhabitants of the Isle of the Banished.

Only through the Builder’s craftsmanship and skill, can the Exile-inhabitants of the Island stand a chance at surviving the impending doom of the volcano...
