Your Majesties of the Eastern Roman Empire, a new issue of the log is here.
This time, we will introduce the imperial civil service system from the bottom up
The lowest rank were the tax collectors in various territories. They were only responsible for tax collection and could inherit their positions from their fathers.
The emperor could remove them directly and unconditionally.
When tax collectors met certain meritorious standards, they could be transferred to the central government to serve as junior officials.
The central officials were divided into four ranks: junior, intermediate, senior, and the imperial cabinet.
Only when an official has accumulated sufficient meritorious service or succeeded a certain former official can they assume the next rank.
When each official has accumulated sufficient meritorious service,

if they are replaced, they will get the trait of the Ex-XXXXXXl"
Different officials bring different modifier bonuses to the empire, and meanwhile, they need to be paid salaries.
Different from the lords in Europe, candidates for the imperial cabinet must have served as intermediate officials, senior officials, or former members of the cabinet.
Please ensure that your empire has available reserve talents.
Both civilian and military officials can purchase meritorious service with money.

If the player is a general, please try every means to let their heir improve their meritorious service as an alternative to inherit the general's position.
Finally, unfortunately, the landless characters have been canceled and are still unplayable.
