Cultists, let’s take a moment to appreciate Howard Philips Lovecraft, the writer whose stories and poems had a great influence on the Lust universe.
He excelled at sowing fear into the hearts of readers by facing them with the otherworldly and incomprehensible beings and concepts.
The entire story of Lust from Beyond is heavily inspired by Lovecraft, but our biggest tribute to the writer is the chapter called Shadow Over Bleakmoor. You might recognize it immediately as a reference to Shadow Over Innsmouth, one of Howard’s most iconic stories.
The rooftop chase is directly influenced by the short story, and it’s also our nod to Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, an older Lovecraftian game that we appreciate very much.
Enjoy this fragment of the chase in Lust from Beyond: M Edition, and follow us for the full experience.
