I'm very proud to present you a new version filled with new features! Take a minute to explore the new stuff.
The queue and uploads
I've rewritten all the code for the queue and uploads from scratch and added some exciting and useful features.
Uploads and the queue now update every second. This has many advantages for you. The upload speed and progress are calculated much more accurately. In the previous version unlikely speeds could be displayed again and again. This is a thing of the past.
Also the total progress is now calculated continuously and a probable remaining time is displayed. Another new feature is that the power management of the computer is now taken into account. Before the PC goes into sleep mode, the entire queue is paused and automatically restarted as soon as the PC wakes up. In the settings, you can also specify whether the YouTube Center should prevent the sleep mode during the upload. Once all uploads have been completed, the program will return you to sleep mode.
From this version on you will find this new button in the queue:
With a click on this button you activate the queue monitoring and following button appears:
The queue monitor keeps the queue permanently in upload mode. As soon as a new upload is added, it is started. This mode is off by default every time the YouTube Center starts.
I have reduced the number of requests sent to YouTube to one tenth. This significantly increases the overall speed.
Tasks
In the templates you will find a new tab. Here you can define what should happen with the original files after the successful upload.
Possible tasks are:
- Rename video file
- Copy video file
- Delete video file
- Move video file
- Rename thumbnail file
- Copy thumbnail file
- Delete thumbnail file
- Move thumbnail file
You also have the possibility to combine different tasks with each other. For example: Copy and rename a video file. Only when all tasks have been completed will the program allow the PC to enter sleep mode if it is activated. I'm looking forward to your feedback on this new feature. Are you still missing tasks? Further new features
I have added two new languages: Russian and Italian. Please give me feedback on the translations.
I've adjusted the notifications. If several notifications follow one another, they are now displayed one below the other instead of one above the other. They can also be closed individually.
I have also rearranged the settings for the new features and hope that the individual entries are more logical. I made some small changes in the interface. Modal windows have a higher contrast than the rest and are therefore more visible. I rounded the corners a bit and made the appearance a bit softer. I also corrected some mistakes in the English language.
