How Guntech Works in SYNCED

As you and your squad patrol the Dead Sectors for precious Nerva you'll come across some truly terrifying Nanos hell-bent on preventing you from making it back to Haven in one piece. Luckily, you'll find all manner of weapons scattered across the Meridian, ideal for keeping the hordes at bay. Occasionally, you might stumble across something extra special - a Guntech weapon.

Standing out from the crowd

Guntech weapons are valuable items in the world of SYNCED. While their unique appearance visually sets them apart from standard weapons, it's their powerful and devastating effects that truly make them a force to be reckoned with. For example, where a standard submachine gun might be useful for peppering your Nano foes with lead, a Guntech equivilant (such as "Chaos Theory", pictured above) will offer increased damage with every bullet fired.

As you uncover rarer Guntech variants, you'll gain access to even more devastating and outlandish weapon effects. Fancy a rifle capable of delivering a black hole right onto a Prime Nano's head? "Supernova" has got you covered.

Further Augmentation

Acquiring your shiny new Guntech weapon is just the beginning. Augmentation allows you to truly make it sing, offering a powerful upgrade path and turning your scary new toy into a ridiculous Nano-slaying machine.

Such fine-tuning allows you to grow your chosen Guntech weapon in sync with your wider playstyle - complimenting your Runner, your mods, and even your squad. At least until you find your next Guntech weapon!

Where you'll find them, and where you won't

Guntech weapons are available through the various PvE modes in SYNCED, and - when combined with Runner Mods and your Armband Codex - represent a core element of player progression and customization.

However, owing to their "over-powered" nature and tendancy to laugh in the face of "balance", Guntech weapons are not permitted in PvP game modes. Maintaining a fun and fair competitive environment is our top priority when it comes to player-vs-player encounters, and so you'll need to stow your Guntech arsenal until your next battle against the vicious Nanos of the Meridian.

Have you found a Guntech in your travels through the Meridian? If so, which one was it? Let us know on our social channels!
