The v2.3.0 update for Antiquitas is now available to download and play. There are a couple of important changes in this update that players should be aware of, so let's take a look!
First, the in-game chat has been overhauled. The old chat was powered by my external Ape Chat server, which is where the slide-out chat side bar came from. Unfortunately I am shutting that server down, so that in-game chat interface is no longer available. The new in-game chat is a simple peer to peer relay that is not archived or saved in between game loads. Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience!
The other big change is for macOS users of the game. Antiquitas for mac is now built for Apple Silicon, as Apple has pretty much completely moved away from Intel at this point and I don't know how much longer new macs will be able to play intel compiled applications. This is good news for anyone with a newer mac, as the Apple Silicon binary runs significantly better than the older Intel one. However, the new binary will not work on older Intel based macs.
If you are still on an Intel based mac, please reply or message me on here and I will get you a link to the latest Intel build of the game (I am not sure if Steam will allow me to post a link to an external download here). You can also let me know in the Ape Apps Discord channel.
