Greetings Galactavists!
Welcome to the edge of a new year. As we think about what is to come we wanted to directly review what has happened this past year. For those who picked up Trakker earlier in the year, and those who just have recently... a slice of our journey.
The beginning of 2019 was promising. A good bit of good press was accumulating for the early access release of Trakker, and we were gearing up to show the game again at the Midwest Gaming Classic in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This time would be bigger than ever, with some direct support readily available from the event.
Alas. These plans were dashed in a series of health issues. In February of this year, on Valentines Day, as my gal was delivering flowers as a much looked forward to gig... she suffered a type of aneurysm. She was luckily minutes away from a major hospital and treated immediately... but she didn't come home. And we didn't know why until many hours later.
She lived, though many in these situations don't. Thankfully she is in full recovery due to very quick action, intense medical science (brain surgery), and perhaps the will of her creator. But it's taken months of shifting gears from game design, to taking close care of family.
We apologize to those looking forward to Trakker becoming all it can be for the major delays this year, and felt you should have some insight into why. The issues at hand seem to be looking up, and generally stabilized.
Thank you for playing Trakker! We will be re-opening feedback as we start into a new round of updates and a preparation for releasing the game fully.
Over the past year + since it's inception we've already gathered a lot of great insights from players and industry insiders and we are prioritizing them to implement. There is so much fun factor already happening with Trakker, and we can see a lot of un-tapped potential.
So please stay tuned! We got knocked down for a bit this past year, we're back! Engage Round 2. We're excited to hear from you, and are looking forward to present some new freshness in 2020.
