As we look toward the horizon and eagerly await the next chapter in The Talos Principle 3, now is the perfect time to reflect on what our journey has taught us so far about freedom from necessity.
What do we become when we are no longer driven by material need?
For thousands of generations, the history of our species was shaped by a singular, exhausting struggle: survival. But what happens when that struggle finally ends?
In The Talos Principle II: Road to Elysium, we encounter a world in which the demands of material necessity have finally been overcome.
When existence is no longer a battle for resources, we are left with the freedom to simply be. We create art that serves no utilitarian purpose, granting it a touch of the divine. We solve puzzles not out of necessity, but because the act itself is joyful, beautiful, and fundamentally human.
Step into the exhibition in "The Isle Of The Blessed" and catch a glimpse of a world beyond necessity.

What differentiates a story from the real world, or a simulation? A story is a series of choices, a set of moments captured, examined, and elevated. The real world goes on and on, but a story must have a clear beginning, middle, and end. And so the Talos Principle, a story we have worked on for more than a decade, must also come to an end.
When we were creating the original, at a time when the game had finally started to take form but before it was released, we asked ourselves: where does this story go? Not this franchise, not this product, but this story. Is there more to this that needs to be told, and what is it that needs to be captured by those hypothetical future games to create something truthful and beautiful? That's when The Talos Principle II and III were born, and they are so much part of the overall vision that we often think of the whole trilogy as one game in three chapters. Three moments in the history of robotic humanity that together form a bigger picture.
Just as Talos II was not the same game as Talos I, so this last game in the series will be unique in its own ways. But we've poured all the same love and consideration into this chapter as we have into the others, building the future world humanity created for itself after the events of Talos II, the mysterious place called the Anomaly, and of course the ingenious new puzzles you'll have to solve, featuring a host of new mechanics.
Are you ready for one last journey?

Hi everyone! The time has come. Just over a decade after the original launched, The Talos Principle: Reawakened is out now!
We poured our hearts and souls into this project. It was designed with the community in mind, with tweaks and additions based on a decade of your feedback. We are forever thankful for all the support you've given us over the years, and we can't wait to hear your thoughts on this ultimate version of The Talos Principle.

Hi everyone! It's a glorious day today, as we are ready to announce that The Talos Principle: Reawakened is launching on April 10. To make the wait easier, the demo version of the game will be available from now until the full launch for your enjoyment.
This demo gives you a sweet taste of what awaits you in the whole game and allows you to get a glimpse of the world we have rebuilt. More importantly, this demo features the fully featured Puzzle Editor, allowing you to create complete episodes with any number of levels.
Incredible user-generated content has been the backbone of our games for a long time. Our modding community gave birth to awesome experiences for everyone, and some of the most prominent modders have become integral parts of Croteam over the years.
As we shifted away from our proprietary engine to Unreal while developing The Talos Principle 2, we faced a challenging question: How do we continue empowering our talented community and allowing it to create incredible Talos experiences in the future? The answer was obvious: We only need a powerful built-in tool that removes all technical obstacles and allows our fans to focus on their creativity rather than learning how things work. How hard can it be, right?
In comes the Puzzle Editor. This powerful tool is available to everyone from the main menu and comes with full Workshop support. You can use it to create full episodes with any number of levels, puzzles, and mechanics. You can easily decorate your levels and switch seamlessly between ancient Roman, Egyptian, Medieval, and Alpine settings.
The demo Workshop is fully compatible with the one in the full game, so your efforts in this pre-launch period won't be lost. Create your puzzles and episodes now, then seamlessly transfer them to the main game once it launches on April 10.
The Elohim Challenge
Before you play, allow us to use this opportunity to announce a puzzle-jam community contest, which will start later this week once you’ve had a chance to familiarize yourself with the Puzzle Editor. Everyone will be invited to participate, and we’ll share all the details in a couple of days, so make sure to hang out here or on our Discord to hop right into it once it’s live.

Some of the best ideas in gaming often come from unexpected places. The Talos Principle is one such story—a critically acclaimed philosophical puzzle game that was never supposed to exist in the first place. What started as an experiment in gameplay mechanics during the development of Serious Sam evolved into an entirely new game that none of the developers had initially planned.
This is the story of how The Talos Principle came to life—born from a simple gameplay idea, fueled by curiosity, and nurtured by a creative team willing to follow where inspiration led them.
Experience the full story with exclusive developer commentary, where the creators share insights, challenges, and inspirations behind The Talos Principle. All of this and more await you in The Talos Principle Reawakened. If you're as excited as we are, be sure to add it to your Steam wishlist to stay in the loop and catch the release date reveal very soon.

Dear fans and friends,
A decade ago, when we released The Talos Principle, we had no idea what to expect. We poured a huge amount of love and creativity into that project, creating a philosophical puzzle game that no-one had expected from the makers of Serious Sam. It was heartwarming to see so many people around the world embrace it.
Now we are announcing The Talos Principle: Reawakened.
After the success of The Talos Principle 2, we have some very cool projects going on, so why go back? There are many reasons, but the biggest one is simply that we love this game and while the original version is admittedly still pretty awesome, we wanted to create a definitive version that will keep the game fresh for years to come and allow a whole new audience to explore the Simulation.
Once again, we poured all our love and creativity into this project. We didn't just want to make a remaster with gorgeous graphics, although that's definitely part of it. But there's a lot more to this. There are quality-of-life improvements that make a real difference (seriously, the recorder puzzles are so much better now!). There's the puzzle editor. There's a whole new story to play! There are even developer commentaries.
Let's talk philosophy for a moment. We don't just think of games as products. These are the works that we will leave behind for future generations. The Talos Principle: Reawakened will both refresh and preserve this wonderful game that means so much to us.
