Fighter Improvements:
Fighters weren't quite working the way I was hoping, so I tweaked some behavior values and increased damage for fighters and T5 interceptors.

Fighters - Tweaked some settings to get them engaging correctly again. Increased damage from 300/350 to 350/450
Interceptor - Increased damage of each missile at Tier 5 from 5000 to 5500.
Rupture Improvement:
Due to consistent feedback about Rupture not being anywhere near as good as Purge, and the additional annoyance of heal balls, I have added another benefit to rupture to make it more useful at breaking up heal balls. Healing reduction along with armor debuff should make it easier to take out groups of multiple healers.

Rupture Beam - Added 15% healing reduction to debuff.
Rupture Ram and Rupture Catalyst - Added 25% healing reduction to debuff.
Onslaught Command Ship Changes:
In Onslaught, the command ship has been perceived as weak and could easily be taken out with one or two ships, including corvettes. The command ship as a primary target of this game mode should require more than just one or two ships to come in and destroy so I decided to beef up the damage it deals and added the Rupture debuff to its weapons. This should make it much more difficult for a ship to come in alone to take it out. These values are preliminary and will likely need to be adjusted once we see how it's playing in the live environment. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Added additional command ships for Veteran and Legendary
Increased Recruit damage from 125 at all ranges to 400/200/100 at ranges 0-1200m/1201-2400/2401-7000m.
Increased Veteran Health from 100000 to 250000.
Increased Veteran damage from 125 at all ranges to 700/300/150 at ranges 0-1200m/1201-2400/2401-7000m.
Increased Legendary Health from 100000 to 500000.
Increased Legendary damage from 125 at all ranges to 1000/500/200 at ranges 0-1200m/1201-2400/2401-7000m.
Added Rupture effect to projectiles. Remove all armor buffs. Add -50% armor debuff. Add -25% healing debuff.
Making AI Smarter:
A long standing issue with AI filling in matches has been that they don't respond well to player pings. I am slowly adding response behaviors to try and make bots feel more a part of the team. Most AI will respond to attack pings, but the following has been added.

Light Artillery should now respond to regroup when appropriate and will actively seek out enemy command ships in Onslaught.
Heavy Corvette should now respond to the ‘Need Backup’ command when they are close enough and you have enemies engaging you.
Heavy Dreadnought should now respond to ‘Need Backup’, ‘Follow me’, and ‘Re-Group’ commands. Need backup will cause them to target something close to you or go to your location if it can't find an appropriate target.
Conquest Scoring Update:
In Conquest we want to reward holding onto a point more than initial capture, so I decreased the overall points awarded for capture, decreased the points for killing defending team, and decreased points for killing while defending, but kept it higher than the points for taking over. This should incentivize keeping a control point rather than awarding more points for losing it and taking it back.

Capture a point - from 40 to 50.
Killing enemies near their control point - from 150 to 100.
Capturing a control point currently controlled by the enemy - from 500 to 100.
Killing the enemy while near your control point - from 300 to 200. Ribbon score awarded after 5 captures from 160 to 150.
Leaderboards:
Fix on PS4 to be able to view PSN info for players on the leaderboard, this will allow you to make friend requests or report inappropriate names.
Memory Management on PS4 (The forever war):
Due to the game being developed for PC primarily, there wasn't much thought to how it fits in memory on PS4. I am continually tweaking things to get the best memory usage with the greatest visual quality I can squeeze out.

PS4 - tweaked some settings to help with memory and visual quality.
Ship Appearance:
Fixed some Coating icons so the color locations match up with the expected layout. This is an ongoing process and will take some time to get them all fixed.
Matchmaking Changes:
I found an issue with the matchmaking rating update that was causing the score to only go down. This means the longer you play, the lower your rating would be. This obviously destroys the ability to matchmake based on skill and causes matches to be lopsided. I have fixed the issue, but in order to make it right we are resetting all matchmaking ratings so that the system can right itself as quickly as possible.

Login rewards kick in after playing for two days in a row: you will receive 200 Free XP and 200 Credits on the second day. Every consecutive day you play, the rewards increase:

Leaderboards
Leaderboards are now available on the STATISTICS screen.

Top scores will be refreshed weekly.
You have access to three timeframes:
- Weekly: Current high scores, updated daily. - Previous Week: Final list of the high scores for the previous week (Monday - Sunday). - Lifetime: Highest scores of all time.
Bug fixes

Fixed an issue where removing your flagship from your fleet still used that ship as your flagship. Flagship is now set to the first ship in your fleet when you remove the current flagship from your fleet.
Balance Changes

Fighters and Interceptors have been updated

Health is now 1500.
Max speed changed from 240m/s to 900m/s.
Damage Changed from 200 to 300 at T4 and 250 to 350 at T5.
Interceptors

Health is now 2000.
Max speed changed from 1000 to 1200m/s at T4 and 1200 to 1300 at T5.
Damage Changed from 6000 at T5 to 5000.
Number of missiles changed from 3 to 4 at T4 and 3 to 5 at T5.
Number of Attack runs from 1 to 4 and 5 respectively.

You should be able to invite players from your PSN friends list even if they are outside the game at the time of invite.
Weapons

Goliath and Scylla are now considered nukes and will be targeted by ANL
Fixed Tartarus missile to apply the correct debuff at all tiers.
Updated nuke blast radius in tooltips
Changed swap weapon global cooldown functionality to be more reliable.

It now checks 1 second cooldown from your last switch when switching instead of the previous more complex formula.

Custom matches on PC
We are introducing Custom Matches to PC Dreadnought for the first time. Players will have the ability to start matches with custom parameters such as game mode, map, teams, and players the host has selected.
Invites to Custom Match lobbies are based on your friends list. Once invited to the Custom Match lobby, your friends can also invite their friends.
Squads are not part of Custom Matches at this time.
You will exit your current squad when you join a custom match
If you invite someone who is currently in a squad the invite is only for them and not their squadmates.
There are no match rewards for Custom Matches at this time.
We may change this in the future but it would be at a lower reward level similar to Proving Grounds.
Known Issues - Custom Matches:

Currently you can start a custom match with just yourself (1v0). This can be a strange experience in some modes.
Adding bots will fill the custom match to 8 v 8..
We will update the custom match system for custom match sizes in the future.
When you make a custom match while in a squad it will add your squadmates to the match but won’t pull them directly into the lobby. These players are already in the match and they will see the custom match chat tab in the hangar. They can select Play - Tier - Custom Game to enter the lobby.
Ship Modules:
Heavy Mortars

Added Heavy Mortars Tier 4. These are purchasable on T4 Dreadnoughts
Bombers:

Increased Bomber move speed and damage to give them more of an impact.
Bomber speeds have been adjusted

Cruise Target Speed: from 1250 to 2500
Top Target Speed: From 1750 to 3000
Bomber Damage Values

T4 Damage : 450
T5 Damage : 500
Match Scoring:

Added Scoring for destroying deployables like pods and fighters. This is to incentivize targeting pods and fighters.
Look for the scoring event called "DEBRIS".
Matchmaking:
Added a second tier forced match start with bots. This will allow a shorter force start for one count of real players and a second if it is taking too long to start a match with a lower count of players.
Please Note: Matchmaking is a balance of trying to get players into the game quickly, trying to get them to play together, and trying to minimize several small matches of players happening at the same time instead of more players playing together.
This is another step in trying to improve matchmaking. It should allow more flexibility for higher peak and lower peak times. There can still be issues if you are on at a low peak time or if you queue right after 10 people just started a legendary match. Since matches can run 20-25 minutes and players can queue for specific match types it still may take a while to start a legendary match.
Your best bets to finding other players for Legendary queues are to add players to your friends list and to check Discord.
The current numbers for the legendary matchmaking checkpoints are 8 players minimum at 3 minutes and 4 players minimum at 10 minutes.
Veteran matches should always fire off around the 5 minute mark at the latest.
Recruit matches should start within 3 minutes.
Proving Grounds matches at all 3 levels will always start in less than 2 minutes.
Events
The Ceres Awakens Event has ended. It will return next year in late spring or early summer

Known Issue: PC Chat

In this release, we deployed a more flexible queuing functionality, brought back an improved version of Ceres Awakens, and fixed a handful of bugs.
We also added a new “Deep Space Explorers” outfit to the market, and put some of our hero ships on sale.
Here’s the detailed scoop:
QUICK MATCH (FAVORITES) QUEUE
Before this release, you could either queue for ANY game mode or for only one. However, some Captains prefer to play some of the game modes, but not all.
With this in mind, we added flexibility to the queue. Now players can select which game modes are their “favorite” and only queue for those.
When you are in the Game Mode Selection screen, you will notice two things:
The ANY button was replaced by a QUICK MATCH button.
Each game mode has a GREY LIGHTNING BOLT in the lower right of the buttons. If you click this lightning bolt, it will turn blue, setting this game mode as a "Favorite". Clicking it again will remove it from your favorites. On PS4 this is done by highlighting the game mode and pressing the Triangle button.
Once you have set all your “Favorites,” select the QUICK MATCH game mode and click PLAY. This will queue you ONLY for the game modes you selected as “Favorite.”
After you select your “Favorites,” the QUICK MATCH option on the Home screen will also queue you only for the game modes you selected in the last Tier you queued for.
To show you how this works, we made a short video tutorial for the new QUICK MATCH functionality. We hope it’s useful!
CERES REAWAKENS
The last time we made Ceres Awakens available, we received feedback about the placement of tech caches: they were too far away from where ships would fight. Of course, this made it too difficult for slower ships to pick up the caches and remain effective.
In the improved version of the game mode, we moved most of the spawn locations of the caches to areas where fighting would naturally occur. So, now the tech caches are easier to grab and have the ability to impact the heart of the battles.
We also created an added incentive to collecting tech caches by adding scoring events for each cache you pick up and an additional bonus for every third cache you pick up. You’ll also receive XPs and credits per scoring event.

Invasion Event Ended
Changes in this build: Saucer removed and replaced with Marauder Forecastle Marauder Hull mesh added. All maps returned to normal. Grey Sands now Red Sands again. Hangar color restored. Marauder ship is no longer free. Now 500GP

As many of you figured out, OUR “SIMPLIFIED” DREADNOUGHT WAS AN APRIL’S FOOLS JOKE.
We are not eliminating the colors or the regular spaceships from our game.
The game changes are for a new event this weekend: INVASION!
As you may imagine, we’re big fans of sci-fi movies and vintage sci-fi movies have a special place in our hearts.
INVASION! pays homage to the B-list movies of the 1950s. Films like “The Day The Earth Stood Still” and “Earth vs. the Flying Saucers” created a mythology of deadly aliens flying sleek ships, ready to kill us all, and heroic humans battling them and prevailing at the end. What’s not to like?
ABOUT THE EVENT:

GRAY SANDS MAP: We transformed the Red Sands maps into “Gray Sands” and added a menacing alien station.

FREE FLYING SAUCER HERO SHIP: A “Flying Saucer” Tactical Cruiser is available in the market for free. After the event is over, the Saucer will become the Marauder Hero Ship (more info below).

FREE DECAL: You can also get an INVASION! Commemorative Decal at no cost.

YOU MAY WIN 1000 GPs - Post your screencaps or videos on social media, tag us, and you may win 1000 GPs. We’ll be looking for the images that best capture the crazy weekend ahead (Flying Saucer battles, anyone?)
INVASION! will be active until Monday, April 5. On Tuesday we’ll go back to our regular Dreadnought game.

THE MARAUDER HERO SHIP
The Marauder Hero ship is a Tier 2 Tactical Cruiser built by Captain Baron Roth IV.
Convinced an extra stellar alien force is present and active, Captain Roth patrols the Solar System in his heavily outfitted support vessel named the Marauder.
The Marauder is based on a stripped-down Jupiter Arms Tac Cruiser. While heavily armed, it is unclear whether the Marauder’s weapons are fully functional or are decoys built by Captain simply for intimidation. Regardless, he has pledged himself as a noble defender against any hostile invaders.
The Marauder, disguised as a Flying Saucer, will be available for free during the INVASION! Event. After April the 6th, the Marauder will be available at the Sinley Bay Market for 500GP.
